The Push to Open Gate Bracket is a versatile metal bracket that connects the Mighty Mule Automatic Gate Opener to the gate post at an angle so it that allows the gate to swing away from the property, instead of into it. Two brackets are needed for dual swing gate installations.

I ordered this for a gate opener to improve the geometry of the hinge and was pleasantly surprised as to how heavy it is. It’s made of about 5/16” steel and seems solid.

This is needed for the Mighty Mule Gate opener if it has to push outward to open. Works perfectly. HEAVY DUTY.

My gate has worked great for years. After rebuilding my gate after Hurricane Ida, I realized the old push to open bracket was too short. I called customer service and was given the part number for this longer one. When trying to order a new pair, the agent alerted me they were available on Amazon Prime for 30% less, and free shipping. Wow. I highly recommend this company.

Half way through installation you realize you have to order a part if you want push to open. I feel product should come with everything for push or pull, didn’t like the surprise. I do like this gate opener though, so far it works well. Side note, the mighty mule battery did not work, I was able to return it and used a generic solar battery that was larger. After all surprises and frustrations, the gate opener is nice.

product was as advertised, however the bolts supplied were not of sufficient grade, upped grade to grade 8 bolts

Bought this to prevent my pull to open gate from binding when it opens. This didn't solve that problem, it just created more problems. I ended up having to redo the posts and many other tweaks to the stupid gate. If you're thinking of buying this to solve a problem that isn't "Push to Open" then rethink it, it's binding because of another reason. Of course you could be like me and hope that a $15 fix is better/easier than redoing your posts and moving the gate around. (You'd be right, it's cheaper and easier, unless of course it doesn't work and now you've got a $15 MM hinge laying around that you can't use.).That said, we bought one earlier for my mother and her push to open gate (it's original, intended purpose) and it worked like a champ. Well made, thick, just like the hinge that came with the gate, but longer so you have more reach.
