I bought this to use on my Proxxon X-Y. table The spacing of the hold down bolts fit grooves on the table perfectly. The fit and finish of the machined parts are excellent. Much better than I expected. The only downside is the lead screw for opening and closing the vice jaws tend to bind slightly. But not so much that it becomes a problem. (Thatโs the reason for 4 stars, not 5) A small amount of lubricators should correct this. A good value for the price.

Down side is, when you get yours, you'll have to take it apart. There is machining schmutz on every surface, and every nook and cranny. You'll have to clean out every hole that was tapped, every surface; any and all machined surfaces. On my vise, Right towards Maximum open, the vise binds, and has to be overcome, so not completely smooth operation.Overall, not a bad little vise, will do what I need it do, but I'm a little disappointed in the Value. Different parts of the vise seem to be made by people with vast differences in machining experience.

it's okay for the price, however, it was very filthy.

This little vice is pretty high quality and the machining is decent the only drawback is that it doesn't fit a lot of smaller micro or table top metal lathes. I'm actually using it on my SL 1000 umat. I drilling the mounting holes larger In vying appropriate sized metric fasteners which I had to turn the heads down to get them to fit in the newly drilled holes. All in all it works out fine. It could have a better handle, the 2 little threaded Kept coming off so I ended up putting a few dabs of thread locker and it's fine now

Because of the hurricane, it was four days late. That's still pretty good in my book. The mounting bolt pattern matches the T-slots on my Taig Lathe Cross slide, Milling slide, and my Compound rest. The Metric screws are about 3/32of an inch too long, and the nuts have been turned to have a shoulder that doesn't fit the t-slots. I've replaced them with 3/8 inch 10-32 socket head cap screws with the regular square nuts. I had to file away some sharp burrs, thus my three stars. It's still way better than the vice that comes with the Taig milling attachment.

Very low quality workmanship. This is more like a $20 vice. It was very tight when I receive it I had to take it apart and straighten out the machining and clean off the birs to make it function properly

It arrived packed well, but the t-handle that adjusts the vise jaw in and out was broken. The threads hadn't been done correctly at the factory. The vise does work OK for my use with a make-shift T to adjust it with. It came covered in a cosmoline type substance that required brake cleaner to clean off. All in all, not a very good value for the money, I wouldn't buy it again.

The vise was a little rough but after a little cleaning and adjusting it improved the the function of the vise. The vise is perfect for my intended use in making a drilling tool for my mini lathe as shown in a video clip by Steve Jordan.
