It said with the added silicon ring it would fit a 1 3/8” opening. It was still too loose. Had to add tape to snug it up. Also setting the time is a hassle. Cannot grab the tiny knob with fingers. Had to use a pair of hemostats to grab it.

Don't waste your money on this. It's cheaply made. You have to pry off the back to replace the battery and it's very difficult to set the time. Never could get the original or its' replacement to work. Does not come with any directions (likely why I couldn't get it to work). If you're looking for a Waterford replacement, check their website. A replacement, with the Waterford logo, is $15 with free and fast shipping.

Battery that came with the insert quit working after a few months. Otherwise, nice looking, fit my clock perfectly and it is easy to read the time. Has second hand.
