I triple checked the dimensions, my axe blade is 4.5 inches but the cover fits too tight on the blade and won't latch the strap behind it. I was very surprised it didn't fit and checked my measurements again and the ones they list for the cover must be wrong. Wasted money.

It (barely) fits my coldsteel trail boss, but materials and design couldve been better.I doubt this is made of real leather, and whatever it is -its very thin. Another layer (welt) along the edge wouldve been nice for better durability and safety. The slits, which I assume are belt loops, are unecessary. If the manufacturer could make some revisions to this sheath it would be a much better product.

Well, it works. Fit was really tight on my full sized axe, and the strap was a little short. I had to soften it up with water and stretch it a bit to get it to fit right. Again, the leather is kinda lightweight. Don’t expect it to last forever.

This was the only sheath I could find that would fit the Cold Steel Trail Boss axe. Good quality and reasonable price.

The leather is rather thin, and the rivets are not very strong. The strap is too short to wrap around the handle, and too long to use around the blade. On the plus side, it is almost impossible to find a cover for an axe with a 4.5" cutting edge. If I can add a couple of rivets in the right spot, it will work. (I am trying to fit it to a Stihl Forrest Axe.)
