This unit gives a nice clean trim to the edge of my lawn. This unit has an easy and simple swivel head that allows different cutting angles. The design of the tool is better than the two handled "pinching" style, but My personal drawback is the size of my hand ,too small and my inability to grip the pinching handle without effort. I have to resort to using two hands on occasion to pinch the grip. Something to keep in mind if you have small hands or have a weak grip.

The blades are sharp, it cut nice through the grass. But when done and I push on the button to close blades they do NOT stay closed. I have to use the rubber tip to keep them closed. This is a safety hazard.

The button to lock the blades sticks, thus making it difficult to keep the blades closed when storing the shears. Also, the support handle does not lock in place when using the shears. Further, as noted by another reviewer, the shears do not appear to have been delivered in the original packaging suggesting they were returned by someone else and then sent to me. Customer support stated the item can't be replaced, only returned and repurchased (at a higher price, by the way) or returned for a full refund. It looks like I will be returning for a refund and then visiting my local hardware store to see if I can find long-handled shears in new condition that work properly.

I think it would have been great, but it was defective. Besides it came not in original packaging so I guess it had already been returned to seller and they thought they could get rid of it by sending it to me. Sorry they are getting it back.
