This mold test kit works. I didn't expect such a fast test. This one includes a full set of accessories, and it also comes with matching gloves and masks. I like the mold chart which listed 12 common household molds.I bought 12pcs and I tested 6 areas in my house. What surprised me a lot is the window frame comes the worst after 4 days test..You may clean bathroom and sinks frecently since they are wet most of time. Then, I know that dry places also have mold. Now I should clean it. The manual also includes mold removal guidelines which is helpful.

I recently tried this Complete Mold Test Kit and, while it was easy to use and followed the instructions closely, I encountered a few issues. The kit did grow mold, but I couldn’t tell from the descriptions or photos what the molds actually were. As someone not familiar with mold types, I found it hard to distinguish the various molds based on the guide provided, which seems to be a key part of the product. This lack of clarity really made the product fall short for me. Additionally, the kit comes in two sealed packages, and one of them had a broken kit inside, causing it to leak all over the others, which was a frustrating experience. While the concept of testing multiple areas is great, without clear visuals or descriptions, the kit didn’t provide the accuracy I was hoping for.

This mold test kit is nicely packaged and includes everything you need to collect samples. The petri dishes have a clear yellowish growth medium, and the kit comes with swabs for taking samples. The manual explains how to set up the test, but it does not give clear instructions on how to swab surfaces properly. It also does not explain how to transfer the specimen onto the agar plate. Note: using a good AI such as ChatGPT 4o or higher, you can get excellent explanations and answers to questions.Biggest issue: The manual does not mention that some surfaces (like drywall or fabric) are too dry for proper sampling. In professional labs, a sterile saline or water vial is used to moisten the swab before collecting samples from dry areas. These vials are cheap and easy to buy on Amazon, and adding them would make the kit much better.So far, the kit looks well-made, and I may update this review after using it. But clearer instructions would help beginners get better results.

Seemed to work. I was able to get results from my tests. The petri dishes come in a vacuum-sealed container and each container has some sort of liquid in it, probably for generating results. Even though the dishes were vacuum sealed, some of the liquid leaked from one or more of the petri dishes which led to a little bit of a mess when removing the dishes. Other than that everything else seemed fine. I'm glad that the kit comes with enough materials for me to run multiple tests. I've only used half of the tests.

So far, so good. This kit is quite comprehensive and easy to use. I was able to perform a "test" and it seems to work as designed. I would like more time with this, however, to see how well it works in a few months. But for now, it appears I'm "safe"!

This comprehensive kit gives you 12 mold test sites you can use to detect mold in various areas of your home. Since this is a self-analysis kit that does not necessarily give you positive identification of specific mold types, you might want to follow a positive test from this kit with one that you send to an independent lab if you want to use the tests for legal purposes.
