This was easy to install and looks lovely in my backyard. We had heavy rain a few days after installation and the water did exactly what it was supposed to do. Happy

Quality is very good, and is already getting a beautiful natural patina. You have to keep in mind that it is not meant to direct water from a gutter the same way I pipe would. While it does direct the majority of the water down, some still splashes out. It does a nice job of breaking up falling water so that it neither sounds like a water fall from the roof, or dig a hole if over a flower bed. In my case it was also and aesthetic decision. A full pipe just wouldn't have looked good. I'm very happy with it.

These chains sound great and look nice. The wider cups make the water go through beautifully! The copper is oxidizing nicely. They were easy to install.

Very happy with this purchase. I have old cast iron drain pipes so needed a more sustainable solution that didn't contribute to combined sewer over flow and fast rain water run off. This was the perfect solution. I dug a large hole in the ground and filled it with pea gravel and river stones as a small bioswale and I have this rain chain slowly adding the rain water to the system. It looks beautiful, sounds lovely and allows you some to look at while you slow down and enjoy the rain. Highly recommended and will age beautifully.

The rain chain is exactly as described. It was fairly easy to install. My husband had to customize the length a bit, which was easy to do with a pair of bolt cutters. The water looks pretty while it cascades down the links etc, but as it rains harder there is splashing. The add mentions that, so we were prepared. If you don't want splashing, then you have to go with an enclosed downspout! Overall we are pleased and they look much better than a regular metal downspout.

I'm not a "zen" kind of guy but this rain chain added a new level of zen and relaxation to my patio. I needed to add a gutter to carry water away from my new patio and didn't want an ugly downspout to take away from the aesthetics, plus I also needed to divert the conensation pipe for my air conditioner which drips/pours constantly in the humid summer, so I combined them to dump into the rain chain. I killed 3 birds with one stone so to speak - it's an attractive down spout and the AC condensation adds a nice audible trickle/pitter-patter instead of an annoying drip, and it keeps my tea patch watered. One thing to note: it is rather splashy - under a decent rain it retains only ~50% or of the water and the rest splashes out in a 2-3ft radius (depending on how heavy it's raining). This isn't a problem for me at all, but could make it not the best option for some applications..All in all this is one of the rare situations where a product was way more satisfying than expected. I highly recommend.

LOVE this rain chain! I live in an old Victorian house and always hated having a gutter in the middle of the front of the house. I watched an episode of Ask This Old House where a rain chain was installed on a Victorian house and thought I'd give it a try. Followed their instructions and had the chain die into a large, decorative pot to disperse the water away from the foundation. Works like a charm! After all of these years, I was finally able to get rid of the gutter running down the front of my house.

Absolutely gorgeous! It is more substantial as the cups are a little larger. Simply stunning and very well made!
