This fit right into the axle. It comes from a Ram dealership. and is a replacement part of original.

Perfect fit for 2015 Ram 2500 6.4 with gas engine. Easy 10 minute repair for 4wd actuator. Service 4WD light was on.

I got this for my mechanic to replace, as my old one broke in half... This new actuator is a straight fit, nothing to be modified or file, which was a nice surprise as it was a fraction of OEM price.

Part came very quick. 2015 RAM 2500 had "serv 4WD" light come up in message box, dealer wanted close to $900 to repair! The plastic design of this part is poor can break easy under front axle, but I gave amazon 5 stars for having it at a decent price and how quickly got here. Yep took me 20 minutes to replace, 4 bolts and an electronic connecter.
