Now car door must be close pretty hard if not it will stay semi-open. try to adjust but you can't. With original part door will close easy but NOT with this aftermarket part. "keep that in mind"

Package came In a reasonable time. The install went pretty good, although, after the install, the door would not shut right. In fact while traveling the Interstate my daughter leaned on the door and the door open 3 different times. She almost fell out every time, the only thing that saved her who was her seatbelt. I took it apart to inspect the product and could not find anything wrong with it. There must be a defect on the inside that I cannot see. Good price, but you may pay for it in safety!

I installed this solenoid in the front passenger door of my 2008 Avalanche. The part looked exactly like the one I removed and worked after replacement. It has only been installed for 2 weeks. It seemed intimidating at first, but the only real problem I had with the installation is reinstalling the door panel! I watched a U Tube video numerous times. Didn't seem like a big deal, however mine did not go on that easy, plus I broke a Tab on the upper right corner, yet I was so careful and meticulous, I don't know how it happened, but it would not latch. I did not repair it. I did not have a new clip and I really did not feel like taking it back off to find one. Eventually I will replace it. If anyone knows what kind of clip I need and where to find one if they ARE replaceable, please let me know. Thanks and good luck.

Perfect fit in my 2008 Silverado 1500. Both door latches had been replaced by the dealer I bought the truck. After 3 years the driver side would not lock or unlock with the remote, and shortly there after the passenger door developed random problems in that it would not unlatch to open the door. I replaced both driver and passenger latches within a couple weeks of each other. Installation isn't for the meek, however there are plenty of YouTube videos to help guide you through the process. Only time will tell on durability but at this price I figure I could replace it several times for less than the cost of an OEM latch.

Arrived promptly. Appeared to be correct part match and well-made. Rod clamp would not close, so I replaced with old one. Door was not closing properly. Loosened the mounting bolts and closed door a few times to seat it, then retightened.
