Apparently after numerous reviews online, there were several of these that were cut with the wrong threads.

I suspect the model listing that fit this part is incorrect. After unsuccessfully trying it, I contacted MotoRad. They said if my reservoir was aftermarket it may have a different thread. I took the adapter to an auto parts store and it didn't fit the reservoirs for my truck. I noticed that the adapter had square channels rather than typical thread. The MotoRad web page has cross reference part numbers. So I found a parts store with a cross referenced part in stock and it worked like a charm. Again, I assumed it was incomplete machining of threads and contacted MotoRad. They sent me a replacement and it was exactly like the first one, with square grooves and not actual threads. I looked up the model fit list for this part 3127 on a search page and it showed matching models from Freighliner, plus U.S., Japanese and EU cars. I am assuming that is not correct. I have shared the info with MotoRad, but haven't heard back. My suggestion is to use the cross reference data on the MotoRad web site to find one that fits. It is good build quality, but if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit.
