I tryed to put it on and when you turn the key on it shuts it off and when you turn it off you can start it

I used this to replace the common key in my Yamaha golfcart. All Yamahas are keyed alike, so I wanted a unique key for when we go to the campground that has a lot of Yamaha carts. Easy to install, I just cut off the connector on both my old ignition and the new one and spliced the wires together. Works great on my 2016 Yamaha drive 48v

I had to hot wire my ignition to get my dirt bike started again. The ignition switch broke after maybe only a month's worth of use in the middle of nowhere :( better off spending a little bit more and buying something of higher quality
