Assembled unit rechecked all of china man work. Surprisingly good even had bolts torqued striped. Ran unit a good 30 hrs rechecked everything no problems. I did adjust idle to my liking at about 20 minutes warm up time but would have been fine. Unit has been used about 30/40 hours so far by beginner riders and its held up to over revs hard shifting and crashing.

Got it assembled, went to fire it up, it revved so high it threw a grown line backer off of it when shifting.Definitely needs a new carb, but product support? Non existent. I got the Asurion warranty.. that does nothing. All I want is a new carb; I can replace it myself. Total crap. No refund available. Out $1200. DO NOT BUY

I've been riding and buying dirt bikes and motorcycles for 28 years. Haved owned more than 2 dozen bikes. I decided to try this Mototec X2 for my 10 year old daughter as she doesn't ride a lot, but wants to ride with the family every now and then.I chose this X2 for a few reasons. Electric start, hydraulic disc brakes, and price. We received the bike on time, within 3 days of ordering. Assembly was very straightforward and took us about an hour and a half. The overall quality, finish and fitness of all the parts is impressive. The company even went as far to include witness marks on all the important bolts so you can monitor for loosening. Every bolt I checked to make sure it was tight, was. The motor fired right up and sounds great. It has no ticking and no weird noises. We did a few initial runs, drained the oil and replaced with quality Royal Purple 10W40 motor oil.We have not been able to ride the bike yet, but plan to do so this weekend. For this reason I have given it four stars for now. If it continues to be as impressive as it seems, I will come back and switch this to five stars after the bike proves itself.Overall, the buying experience, delivery and assembly has been great. Fingers crossed the bike rides and good as it looks, and the reliability follows the Japanese manufacturers.I don't ever leave reviews... This should say something about how initially impressed I am with this Mototec X2.

The wires were not connected correctly so the bike wouldn’t even start. It literally caught the wires on fire underneath the seat. We ended up taking the whole thing apart and putting new wires in it. It now runs but it took a week of owning it before we ever got to start it. Do not buy unless you are looking for a project bike that is brand new.
