Just got these. Think I’m gonna love them. I have six cameras, each with its own solar panel. Look at the photo of a couple of them and you’ll see why I’m looking forward to them. I think the Moultrie devices are gonna give me the stability and flexibility I need. They’re heavy duty, not cheap thin metal.

ok for a post. the telescopic end feels solid and sturdy. but the side spike that goes into the ground you can see where they cut corners and is cheaply welded on and breaks. it needs to be welded all the way through and not just a cheap tac weld. If they fix that its would be a great stand.

I bought two, and the threaded spikes at the base were stripped on one, and the other one the threads were crossthreaded, didnt realize until I drove 500 miles to the farm

Good. This is a sturdy camera mount that will last a long time in the rugged outdoors. It is heavyweight and the fixtures are really beefy. You can drop it, animals can chew on it, and it will keep chugging along. The assembly is pretty easy (more below) and easy to figure out. The stakes on the bottom should hold lighter loads (like cameras and solar cells) upright, although larger, determined animals will be able to dislodge it (clumsy deer, probably OK, but scratching bears, not so much). The color is a nice olive green that fades into most foliage. There are little notches on the knurled knobs so you can tighten with a wrench. There are two stalks for cameras or solar cells or whatever, and the mounting heads are quite flexible to point in many directions, locking down securely. My non-Moultrie camera threads onto the included screws (standards - gotta love 'em).The bad. There is a QR code in the box to get on-line instructions, but the QR code just goes to the Moultrie YouTube channel, not to the Camera Mount instructions. There are instruction videos on the Moultrie channel for the Universal Camera Mount, but that is a different product - similar, but different. The thing is simple enough to assemble, so you do not really *need* instructions, but if Moultrie is going to promise them with a QR code, maybe deliver them? This complaint does not affect functionality, so I did not mark down the product.The dumb. There are two mounting screws that need to be installed in the camera holders if you need the standard camera mount (bolt-style). Installation is a little fiddly because of the lock-down nut that is provided. It is a silly thing, but it is annoying and easily fixed. Again, no functional impact, so no points deducted.In summary, if you need to position a trail camera in a location with no suitable trees or fences, this is your go-to device. Ruggedly built, it will last a long time.

The build quality is alright. Some pieces seem flimsy but have held up to deer inspecting it. It works well. Stability is great in high winds. Picture quality only depends on the type of camera used!

Very heavy duty. Ground spike/legs are incredibly stout for something like this. Very stable and able to poke into hard ground. Plastic clip attachment points are the weak link. See if this lasts any encounters with the bears here. Pricey but much better than the thin metal mounts thay get blown over by the wind or fall down when a bird lands on top of your camera.
