Remove the old frame.
Grind smooth cross section and clean.
Slip over your rear crossmember, then weld it.
- Driver and Passenger side rear shackle mount repair pieces fit for Jeep Wrangler YJ 1987-1995.
- YJ shackle mount frame rust repair kit made of high strength 10 gauge steel and Zinc-coated surface treatment effectively prevents rust, prolongs the service life, does not affect the welding at all.
- This will fix the areas right below the rear body mounts of your Jeep where rot typically occurs.
- Rear Shackle Mount Frame Repair measures 20". Thicker than your existing frame.

The passenger side piece was welded wrong. The sides were not aligned when they were welded to the bottom plate. This made the bushing tube between the side plates out of square. I used a piece of bar stock so it was easier to see how out of square it was. Everything connected to this would have been in a bind. The drivers side was better but still not square. Ill order the kit in pieces and weld it up myself.

There should be one more piece of metal for the top of the frame to completely enclosed the rear frame
