This solar controller is going to be part of a passive trickle charging setup I am building for my boat and jetskis. My goal is to have the panels set up on my shed and have this whole system just keep all the batteries topped off. I have connectors already installed in the jetskis so I can just plug everything up. This controller will be the heart of the system to keep everything channeled and charged. I won't be drawing that much power to keep three batteries charged, so I am not worried about output, though I do worry about overcharging. I still have to get solar panels, so my system is not complete yet, but this controller seems well built and has all the functions I need for my application. I am a happy with it so far.

This thing didn’t stop over charging. I tried lowering the settings but it didn’t make a difference. Even when it said batteries were fully charged the volts would keep creeping up. Got up to 15.7v before I unplugged it. Unfortunately I installed it after the return window closed or I would have sent it back.

This is my first time building a solar system. This solar charge controller is amazing. But the instructions are very hard to read. Once you figure out how to program it, It works wonders. I have love it so much I bought 2.

This review is for item titled: "PowMr MPPT 60A Solar Charge Controller 12V/24V/36V/48V Auto, Support up to 12 Solar Controller in Parallel, Charging Current Can be Set in Range of 2~60A【Parallel Version】"I ordered this as one of the first components in the (confusing, often frustrating) adventure towards building my first DIY solar system. We have a 6kw Enphase system on our house and it has been great. "Why do you need this, then?" you might ask... Well, we have recently become the parents of a 3y/o Sulcata tortoise, who is going to need a warm place to sleep each night, far from any outlets on our property, which seems like a great reason to build her a little self-contained power plant! The setup will be used to power a night-time heating pad and day-time cooling fan for her! This controller is currently managing 4x100w panels, charging a 100Ah LifePO4 battery (now that I've successfully charged a smaller, 18Ah LifePO4 model in my picture). As others have mentioned, there's not much in the documentation that explains which LifePO4 setting to use, so I've stuck with L04, as those reviews suggested.Another issue I'm having (as have other reviewers, it seems) is the dim display. The first time I used it in the sun, I couldn't tell if it was on or not! I hit the settings button and it got brighter, but I still had to cup my hands around the display to actually read it while in direct sun. (-1 star as that's a big issue for something with an outdoor-specific display)All that said, I've been using it, without issues/errors/problems, for about a month now. So, I'm happy and would get another one if we were to expand our yard's solar setup beyond what it can (safely, reliably) handle.

I really like the PowMr (Mister Pow?) equipment. This one is typical; the manual is clear and complete written in good english; the unit uses a good size heat sink and is well connected; the specifications are very complete. I am an electrical engineer and I appreciate the details like having a user programmable mode to set the charging parameters manually. I am using this on a mobile system where I will be swapping out the pv panels depending on the environment. I was delighted to discover in the online manual at PowMr's website that I can use this on both a 12V or a 24V system with the 24V allowing for double the power. The configuration is a bit obtuse so the manual is very necessary but with the manual posted in a PDF I can email it to myself and I will never lose it.

I tested this with 400W of solar (Two 200W solar panels, wired in parallel, statically mounted facing south at a 15-20 degree angle, 10Ah, 20V each.).I used this to charge a duel 12.8V, 100Ah battery bank (2,500W total). This Controller was wired in line with solar circuit breakers as well.I used the battery bank to run my electric cement mixer to mix 84 bags of concrete, and to run lights and power tools in a remote location where I couldn't get power.I mixed the concrete in 2 stages, 42 bags at a time. This charge controller recharged the battery bank from about 40% to full power in less than a day. Iused it to recharge over the course of 2 weekends and had 0 issue out of this controller. My only minor gripe is that the setting for LiFiPO4 is a little confusing. I set mine to L04 to recharge my battery bank and had 0 issues. This unit has multiple different settings to recharge Lithium batteries and it isn't very clear on what each setting is supposed to do, so like I said, I just used the L04 setting. The terminals were well built and were able to very securely hold 10Awg solar wire. I like how the terminals have a cover to prevent obstructions from getting into the access holes. The chassis appears to be well built, the unit never got warm or hot, I ran this unit outside in 80F-90F degree heat and it had 0 issues with it.Great unit, considering most other MPPT in this Amp range are well over $100-$200, the unit was easy to install, more or less straight forward design, and worked as designed, I give it 5 stars!
