  • 【WIDE RANGE SOLAR VOLTAGE/POWER SUPPORT】Controller support High PV Input Power/voltage. Controller can accept Solar voltage up to 160V. When battery is 12V system: Suggest Solar power 720W, suggest range:DC18V~DC72V ; 1440W DC36V~108V when 24V ; 2100W DC54V~144V when 36V ; 2800W DC72V~160Vwhen 48V.
  • 【Protection】 Electronic protection: Overcharging, over-discharging, overload, and short circuit. Reverse protection: Any combination of solar module and battery, without causing damage to any component.
  • 【Notiction】If you use sealed lead acid, vented gel battery, and etc, you donn't need to set any parameters, the controller can adjuste automaticly and work normally; but if you use lithium batteries, you need to properly adjuste parameters according to the actual voltage of the battery, becauese the voltage of lithium batteries is unstable, such as acid battery 12V is 12V, lithium battery 12V may be 11.1V or 14.8V.

TIPs:

  • Always connect battery first!!! Make sure enough batteries’ voltage let controller recognize the right system voltage. The disassembly sequence is contrary to the wiring order. NEVER connect the solar panel array to the controller without a battery
  • DO NOT connect any Inverter/ wind/ Alternator or Charger into the charge controller! connect the Inverter directly to the battery.
  • Ensures solar input voltage higher 3V or more than batteries’ voltage and total input power in the range. if input power is too low for max input power, it may be appears to have been discontinued., the charging current almost be zero when controller is floating charge.
  • Parameter Setting Rules:Floating voltage > Low voltage reconnect > Low voltage discharge.
  • The solar controller will stop output when the battery under 10.7V. The LCD will be blank when the battery under 8V and it will re-output when the battery up to the 12.6V (adjustable).
  • Install the Charger controller to the battery as close as possible. Tighten the wire, Carefully read battery manuals before operation.
  • Do NOT let the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the battery touch each other.

It automatically gave me most of the parameters, so that was good. It worked fine until I found out that the float parameter it gave me was for lead-acid batteries. And it was probably not treating my 24 volt set-up properly. The operation went fine once I knew how to set up the parameters. I was able to change the battery to lithium ion and the battery voltage to 24 volts., but no matter how much effort I put into it, I couldn't change the floating voltage from 27.4 to 28.6 volts. I found out that lithium batteries need a higher floating voltage. So after Amazon or the seller couldn't help me, I returned the unit and ordered a different but more expensive brand. Hopefully, that one will work properly.Update: The seller reached out to me again after I said I needed more detailed instructions, and I already sent the unit back. He told me that "You need to set your own custom voltage by switching the system to the user-defined interface and making the settings yourself. You cannot select the battery type" With that I probably will buy it again in the future since it handles larger voltages than the replacement I purchased, which only handles 12 or 24 volts.

24 volt battery 4 400 watt panels connected series/parallel. Plug and play. Recognized my battery composition and voltage.Day 2. Everything is working as expected. My system consists of 4 400 watt panels, this controller 2 200ah lifepo4 batteries and a 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter.Day 3. Steller controller. Charging perfectly. Customer support very quick to respond. I'm changing my score to 5 star at this date1 week. Solid charge controller. It is working flawlessly. I like the temperature sensor and it's length of wire. 5 star still

It had it for a month. It is not mppt but pwm and it burnt out with two 200w panels after a month

Upgraded from the OOYCYOO 40 Amp model because I could not get in to change battery type, voltages etc. No user manual came with the 40. Both are advertised as 12/24 volt operation. This one has a manual and I got into the setup function, but it only displays 12 volt options. I have a 24 volt battery pack which it detected but the FUL (disconnect PV cells when batteries are full) will only adjust to 20 volts... not good for a 24 volt battery. Also never shows charging in progress even with good input available from the PV array. Manual is very joyful but useless.

I had to return 2 other controllers because they refused to send amps to my LiFePO4 batteries. Great if you need a charge blocker. The oocycoo was cheaper and had a higher amp rating and it actually works. Amazon might blacklist me if I had to return a third one. Connecting was easy. You only input one parameter if you don't use the load. Don't be bummed by the tiny print 3 by 3 inch manual because you only need it for one thing. If it lasts as well as it started my 5 star rating will be completely justified.EDIT Tested in full sun. Only 18 amps. MPPT controllers are supposed to significantly better. Is this just hype?? Connected 20 year old obsolete Xantex designed for lead-acid batteries under the same conditions. It produced 25 amps. I will return my third MPPT. Keep Xantex until it dies from old age. Get more amps with more panels.

Bought this charge controller Sept 8 2022 and left it in the box while I built my off grid cottage. Took it out to hook it up and it completely dead, not a glimmer of life. Tried to contact the company and can't find the address or phone number anywhere. Need customer service!

This charger looks top notch and works really good. If it doesn't, you need to contact support and from that point on, good luck! You may get an 80% refund if so. I have one that's been working for over a year without any issue though.
