The filter basket is barely tall enough for 9 spoons of ground coffee for my 10-cup coffee maker. Any more and the grounds spill over the basket. I thought buying actual Mr. Coffee filters for this machine would solve the problem. But I guess this is another example of manufacturers downsizing their product to save costs.

Used this product for years. It does the job and seldom if ever do any grounds end up in the coffee.

Cleaning up after all the coffee has been or especially if you want to prepare another pot right away is infinitely more convenient than using a gold mesh filter. They say the mesh allows for better taste and that could be true. My wife drinks it for "the start" it gives her and doesn't really notice the fine distinction; she's just happy I brew it. I don't care about the difference because I don't drink it. This filter does the job and, finally, there's no guesswork about when it needs to be replaced.
