I wanted to dress up a piece of pipe that I was going to use for over a sliding door for a curtain rod. I wanted something strong enough to bit have braces in the middle so the curtain would slide back and forth. I spray paint these pieces and it looked perfect!!!!

The style and the price of these finials sold me. Mine are ivory colored and I dry-brushed a little silver paint on to make them match other fixtures in the room. Though they are plastic, they don't look plastic-ky especially when gussied up with a little silver that emphasizes the design.

I liked the filigree look of the finials. They are a little lighter weight plastic than I hoped for so it seems to cheapen the quality.

These caps add the nice decorative taste to the recycled 3rd rod that I did not use from the other area of the house. The plastic was bendable to fit into the skinnier rod holder. I love the design and maroon color. Probably they are easy to paint to match the curtain color as well.

Cheap plastic, but I was able to chalk paint them and they look great after a few coats of paint.
