Firstly, it's very light and that was a point of concern for me. However after a few weeks use with 7.5 Swiss and .308 Winchester it's still kicking.Setup took 5m, but instructions are poor. Just double check screw and washers positioning. Ease of use is great. Just level your rifle with the elevation cog and lock it with the bolt and you're good to go.As mentioned it's standing up to some fairly heavy calibre rounds, so I think you'll be fine with your application, provided you're not pushing anything with high muzzle energy/velocity.Also a handy rifle stand for cleaning after your day at the range.

This is a good, basic shooting rest. It was very easy to assemble and the adjustments are straightforward and easy to make. A rifle sits securely on both the front and rear rest pads, both while shooting and between shots when you’re not holding it.There are only a couple of drawbacks. First of all, it doesn’t have the ability to collapse very much. That makes for a pretty bulky item to carry to the firing line. Not heavy, just bulky. And second, the rest is too light to stay in place after shooting. The recoil from my Mini-14 using .223 ammo was enough to make the front of the rest jump an inch or two to the side. Meaning that you have to readjust the rest after each shot to get back on target.

OK, so I figured, "It's a cheap, plastic bench rest. How good could it be?"Well, I was pleasantly surprised. It was fairly easy to assemble. My only complaint (and this is nickel/dime stuff...): The instructions are printed on very glossy paper, and I kept having to move the sheet around to get rid of the glare. Stupid, right? But when you've got one hand on the item and the other on a screwdriver, it gets tedious. Fortunately, it goes together quickly. In actual use, the item performed very well. Granted, the biggest gun I used on it was a 9mm carbine, but it did what it was supposed to do. I wouldn't recommend it for sighting in a 50 cal. Barrett. But then, if you can afford one of those, you can afford to spend more than $25 on a bench rest. For the rest of us plebes, this is a great value for the money, and it's made in the USA!

I put the rest together and decided to play with it and the Hatsan 177, the gun that destroyed its original scope with its horrendous recoil, so now it is wearing a 20+ year old Daisy 3 x 9 x 32. To keep it subsonic in the basement I used the 10.5 gr. Crossman Premiers domed Ultra Magnum pellets. I shot the first 5 shot group and from 10 meters, I could only see the yellow blob. I then shot the first black square. I could not see where it hit, I thought, oh crap, the yellow is about 1/2" high, and I shot the next 3 with the crosshairs on the bottom of the black. Wow! It seems that the old Daisy scope is pretty good, I just need to adjust the elevation down about 2 tenths of an inch to be right on.The little plastic stand is pretty cool, a little flex if you lean on it hard, but makes it super easy to put the cross hairs exactly where you want them. It has a pretty good range of adjustment for length and elevation, and the rear section comes off for use with pistols. It has 6 rubber feet that grip the table very well. I like it. I Have not installed the thin rubber pad on top the tunnel that serves as part of the pistol rest yet, my 45 Auto and 357 mag are a bit much to shoot in a small basement. This is exactly the product I needed. Light portable and does what I need it to do. Thank you MTM for making such a sensible product.Steve C.

The main problem is that it's plastic... The main rest where the fore end rests is wobbly because a. it's plastic and b. the plastic tightener that secures the fore end rest was not drilled through all the way, causing the fore end rest to not be able to be tightened. It goes up and down, but down needs to be pushed down because the light weight of the plastic screw and wheel easily overcome gravity and need to be forced downward. The whole thing does move when you shot anything over .223. Very light weight so it's easy to carry out of the trunk. You could probably fill sections of the bottom with concrete. This would probable keep it more stable. But over all, it's light, cheap, easy to carry, good enough to sight in for hunting. But I would definitely not use this for long distance shooting or competitions of any kind.

This little shooting rest is awesome! Its lightweight easy to setup work awesome for pistols and rifles. I use it for cleaning and adjusting as well as shooting. This is not a lead sled and will bounce around a little with high powered guns however its very easy to get back on target quickly. Riffle cradle works nicely with black powder with ram rods and rifles with sling swivels because of the extra deep v-notches. Good hard rubber pocket rests for rifle or pistol and nice padded surface for the palm of your hand when using as a pistol shooting rest.

This thing is great. I opened the box and was a little discouraged to see bright red plastic in there, and even got a little nervous when pulling it out of the box as it was entirely plastic, except for the screws. I put it together and once everything is in place, this thing is rock solid. I used it to boresight a Ruger 22/45 Mark III on Saturday and it worked like a charm. This thing is great for keeping your gun in place when making critical adjustments. It's no vise so it won't hold it perfectly, but it'll get you back to where you need to be after you fire your shot.Great product at a really great price. And it's comfortable to use as well.

I usually shoot from sandbags at the range, but sometimes they are wet and uncomfortable, so I bought the Predator to have a portable rest. It works perfectly for my needs. I like the handle so so can carry things with your other hand. The screw elevation adjustment works well and has a locking position. It also works well for shooting handguns. It is made of polymer, but seems durable and you can always add weight if needed. Sure you can buy a lot better rest at a higher cost, that weighs more, but this one is hard to beat for the money. I know I like mine and I'm keeping it.
