When it works, it works fine but there are random disconnects even though I've powered the switch separately and all its switching is a keyboard. It's annoying to randomly have your keyboard drop for a few seconds and then come back again. Would be 5stars if it didn't do this, I have had no issues with it not switching properly.

Other reviewers complained of the USB cable quality but the ones that came with my device are thick and shielded. I have had no issues cutting in and out so my thoughts is its probably how they routed them. 10/10 would buy again.

First impressions are good, replaced another cheaper A/B pushbutton switch. The electronic switching of this one seem to work well to allow me to switch my webcam, mic & USB headset easily between a Mac Mini & Windows PC. Cables appear to be good quality and the remote switch button allows me to hide the actual switch out of site. Only complaint I have is the build quality of the remote and no indication on it as to which output it is connected to like you can see on the switch, just a very dim red LED recessed in the housing.I did take other reviews into account regarding how devices are not recognized after switching sources and poor quality cables, I have not seen either of these with the switch I received. Time will tell how this does, but for now it's doing it's job nicely and way better than the switch it replaced.

Hooking up 3 in series = 1 keyboard/mouse/2 external hard drives shared between 4 computers. Much easier than a desk with 4 keyboards plus 4 mice on my desk. 2-3 seconds to transfer keyboard/mouse betwween the 4 computers. Got a 4th switch coming in tonight for another idea. Awesome product.

This does work well when connected to my machine when it's on... but causes issues with the motherboard when connected while the PC is off. It stops the PC from booting and I have had to I reseat my graphics card after having this connected while off. There's possibly an issue with not isolating the power from two separate devices.

Works for my use case of 1 keyboard and mouse for 2 pcs, i just suggest using wired mouse and keyboard for fast switching becuase waiting for the reconnect kills time. The blue button on the box would stand out in most setups so i suggest putting it where it cant be see and use the button that it comes with, but its easy to set up, no lag between my mouse or keyboard when gaming or typing just dont switch too fast before ur keyboard and mouse register on ur computer

I use this in a kind of novel way - I use this to switch a jump drive between my PC and my resin 3D printer to load printing designs to the USB drive without physically moving it between ports. I select the PC, save my files to the jump drive, then switch it and the file is available to the 3D printer. Saves all the wear and tear on the USB connecters as well as a lot of time and hassle. Well worth the minimal cost.

First off, it looks like the seller has previously used this listing for some kind of camera and repurposed it for this. I believe this is against Amazon TOS since reviews and ratings and everything can carry over, it also messes with these reviews because we're asked to rate things that dont make sense, like camera quality!So on to the switch. It definitely does its job, but it has two issues, one that i think actually has a pretty easy solution. The issue is that sometimes, it switches the USB devices so fast that they dont work on the device you just switched over to. My keyboard for example is the usual culprit, i use this for my keyboard and mouse so i can switch between 2 PC's. Sometimes when i switch over, the keyboard isnt recognized at all and pressing keys does nothing. I have to unplug the keyboard from the switch, wait a second, and plug it back in.I feel this could be corrected by having the switch itself shut off power to the devices connected, then switch over to the next PC, wait 1 full second, then re-enable the connected USB devices so they can connect to the PC. A toggle switch could be added on top as well to enable and disable the delay. Some devices are not affected by quickly switching, like my mouse, so if thats all i was using, i'd want that delay to not exist. Toggling that would be quick and easy (i think).The only other issue is sometimes, the button on the long cable gets stuck and is held down. You have to fiddle with it to get the button to come back up. It seems the button is balanced on the center so it can wobble side to side. More design would be required to get it to go up and own properly without getting stuck but really, this isnt much of an issue. I'd expect things like this at this price point.My recommendation for those who purchase this is to keep the USB Switch within arms reach, but string that button out to a good comfortable place. If a device doesnt work, reach out and pull the USB cable out of the switch for the device that isnt working, wait a second, plug it back in.

This USB switch facilitated easy swapping between my two computers. The high-speed transfer was a definite plus point. The stability of the connection, even with multiple devices connected, was commendable. The additional power cable provided an option to boost performance when necessary. Though I did not need to use it, the inclusion of a controller added a layer of convenience. Overall, this switch proved to be a practical tool in my tech setup

The selling feature for me was the extention button, but it always sticking down, or not just not operating. (Maybe i don't push hard enough??)But sometimes it just doestn seem to swtich properly at all, regradles of which button I use. Sometimes I press it, and I don't seem to be connected to either device, and other times, it seems to just re-connect me back to teh machine I was on already. (A double switch?). I can end up just pushing and pushing the button, trying to make it go to the machine I want.When you do get it to switch, you have to wait for the computer your switichnig to, to re-recognise the devcises, which can take a second. I had to disable the plugin sounds, as too anoying.I found that using an external power supply helps a bit with reliablity, but does not solve it.And as for quility, I already pointed out the remote button is junk, but most of the conncetors are very USB non-complient. While many may not care about USB complince, it does not bode well for the qulitly in general.

Main switch works well, switches immediately.No issues picking up when it's switched unlike cheaper USB switches I've used previously.Button extension is useless, the button doesn't work properly.

Held my breath a bit on this purchase, wasn't sure if it would be any good (loads of these types of switches have very mixed reviews). Pleasantly surprised really. It has a plastic casing but feels solid, no rattly or bendy bits. The supplied USB cables for connecting it to the computers appear to be good quality. The cables are a good thickness and the plug ends are solid. Same with the remote switching button. Simple to set up, just use common sense and plug everything in. I only have a keyboard and mouse plugged in and no need for the additional USB power to be connected. Will probably need it to power a spinning drive. Switching between my two computers takes only a second. It's likely that the unit itself switches instantly but it takes the computer a second to recognise the new devices. The delay is the same if I just plug the mouse directly into the PC. I've not tested data transfer speed so I can't vouch for any claims made on that. As for reliability, will have to wait and see, but it's been flawless for 2 days.

USB cables do not stay connected with even slight movement. I had to buy new cables that were rated better. At first it was not as bad but it got to the point where typing would cause one of my laptops to disconnect.The device does a quick and great job switching between devices and the quick click button works well.
