Your cart is empty.This is a complete package, and includes an MTX loaded car subwoofer system with Mono amplifier and complete amplifier installation kit. The MTX TNE212D combines great subwoofer design with perfect enclosure design to deliver bass that far exceeds expectations. The unit is a dual 12 inch sealed enclosure with a single terminal cup showing a final 2O load to any connected amplifier. The Terminator subwoofers used in the enclosure include durable polypropylene dustcaps that can survive the rigors of most trunks. They are also lightweight, allowing them to efficiently move using less power. Each subwoofer can handle 200 watts RMS power, resulting in a power level of 400 watts RMS/800 watts peak for the entire enclosure. The subwoofers also incorporate Spider Plateau Venting, which is a mechanical cooling process that allows the subwoofer to continually refresh the air around the voice coil helping to dissipate the heat generated during extended play. The enclosure itself is made of 5/8 inch MDF.

I had an older version of the terminator in my first car many years ago. It is what got me in to car Audio. I transferred it to several different vehicles. I ended up selling it a few years back because my daily driver at the time didn’t have enough extra trunk space with the Sub in it. Now I have an additional vehicle for DD duties so I figured it was time to get another one! For the money/performance, the MTX terminator can’t be beat!! it rattles the absolute heck out of my mirrors for such a low price. When I received my order I was confused why the cone didn’t have the red “audio” text under the MTX logo. Upon further investigation, MTX did a logo update a couple years ago and changed the model number from TNP212D2 to TNE212D. At first I thought I received the wrong item but called MTX to confirm the model number change. It fits nice and snug in the trunk of my 2006 Ford Mustang GT with about a foot or two to spare in the front. My only complaint is about the Amp that’s included in this bundle. Boss claims it puts out 1100w of max power and 825w RMS at 2 ohms. In reality it only puts out a max of 200w RMS total. I’d save yourself the headache and get a different amp to pair with the terminator as the 200w rms will BARELY move these things. The installation wiring kit is fantastic quality and works great. If you are looking for some fantastic bass at a affordable price, look no further than the MTX terminator!
