I love that this thermometer has the capability to be a forehead, in-ear thermometer, or room temp thermometer. I have had this for about 5 months and the battery life is still going. It is a bit hard to get the temperature history, but it is still accurate.This is miles better than the under the tongue or just forehead thermometer, and I would highly recommend to add to your family's sick day kit.

Yeah, I was THAT guy. Didn't read the instruction and proceeded to push and hold buttons until I was blue in the face trying to switch it from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Then I read the teensy, tiny, barely readable instructions. Not much of a help, but I did figure it out..At any rate, once I got my blood pressure back under control, and the setting where I wanted it, I set to testing it on various items. Ambient air temperature, my coffee table, my computer screen, my arm, my head, the cat, etc. All of it proved to be pretty accurate within +/- .5 compared to my more expensive temp readers (the cat was fine by the way. Thanks for asking).All in all, its super easy to use and its pretty darned accurate as well. Not bad for the price.

This thermometer has been incredibly useful for my family. The automatic switch between forehead and ear modes simplifies things, especially with restless children. The large LCD display is readable even in low light, thanks to the backlight. Its non-contact feature makes it more hygienic. The accuracy is impressive, which reassures me. Overall, it’s quick, straightforward, and dependable. Everything I need in a thermometer. I highly recommend it.

I've had one of those glass sticks that you have to shake like crazy in order to get it to work. I'll admit it's probably close to 50 years old but it works. Over the years I've tried various battery-powered thermometers but I've always just gone back to the glass one once their batteries died. This thermometer is much easier to use and the batteries are simply 2 AAA disposables, included in the package. This is a common battery and very easy to find, unlike the button batteries used in other thermometers. It appears to be accurate. I really like the fact that I just have to touch it to my forehead to get a reading.

The BeHealthy Infrared thermometer is easy to use on others. I like that it is a non-touch thermometer. However, because it is non-touch it is trickier to use on myself without a mirror. The directions say to use it a distance up to one inch from the forehead. This is a little hard to judge when you just hold it up to your head. I was able to do this better when I stood in front of a mirror. It is very easy to use this on others. I also like that you can measure the temperature of objects. Most of the features were intuitive to use. I did need to refer to the manual to learn how to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. The instruction manual is well written. I tested this BeHealthy versus my Exogen thermometer. The temperature readings were quite close to one another +/- 0.3 degrees Fahrenheit. I wish I had this BeHealthy Infrared Thermometer earlier. My child tends to be fussy when I am reading the temperature. My children would move a lot when I am trying to read their temperature. This made it difficult to use the Exogen Thermometer. With the BeHealthy, it will be easier to take their temperature because it is a non-touch thermometer.

This is a pretty versatile thermometer and would be great especially for babies and little kids who can't use a mouth thermometer. I was unable to get it to work in the ear, even when following the instructions to pull up and back on the ear, but the other functions worked fine. Be aware that the forehead measurement will be a bit cooler than body temperature measured in the mouth or elsewhere inside the body.
