I like that its made of metal. Hope that it's lasts longer than a plastic one.What i like about it1. Made of metal2. DurableNeutral1. Letters are painted on. Not sure if it's will last.One the fence as far as recommendation goes. Mostly due to the letters and all painted on.

Very poor paint job for measurement marks and crab size. Part of it was rubbed off during shipping or maybe just sent that way. I gave it 5 stars because I have no use for a 6" measuring edge, just the crab fitter. Even if the paint wears off there, I can still use it for what I want. It's got a hole for a lanyard or hanging on a peg. Or maybe a float?

great lil gauge. thin aluminum, fits anywhere, light, has black markings printed on. accurate. about the size of your hand if you are a 6'0" man. slightly flexible. can go in a back pocket or in your box. you can measure anything with this but it is meant for crabs. easy to understand. in english. reminds me of the metal they use to make old rulers, that brushed aluminum stamp. highly recommend if you need a crab gauge. for use in many states. works great! accurate! light! probably salt water resistant.

Accurate and unbreakable. Much better than the cheaper plastic one that broke and is being replaced. This gauge has a hole to attach a lanyard so I won't lose it overboard.

As a recreational user, it will deffinetly do the job! I'm not comfortable taking a chance on having a broken plastic gauge and ending up with a fine for an undersize crab. That's why this one is worth having. For the price of this one, I would really love it if it were laser etched. I hope it doesn't go missing.
