I got these oil pastels to use with acrylic painting. I am a beginner but I wanted something that would blend well and I really liked the idea of water soluble. These fit both of these parameters. They blend colors well enough to make a blue look dark blue, etc. I am really excited about how they look on my paintings. I only wish now that I had gotten a larger set—with more colors. I really like them a lot. Would highly recommend.

Soft and easily soluble. Good addition for watercolour special effects and when travelling light. Just a water brush would do to create quick sketches on the go.

I love to try new artistic weapons as a mixed media artist. These are super affordable and lovely to use.Very soft and blend nicely.I only wish there were more varieties of color.Also bought a pack for my kids to mess around with and they loved using them as well.Highly recommend!

I've never used water soluble oil pastels before, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I've enjoyed the watercolor aspect & effect capability. I'm teaching a little on-line art class to several of my grandchildren and suggested these as part of their supplies, and I know the kids LOVE using them. We done a few lessons with them and some of the kids use them on their own post lessons. They have a rich depth and blend well with water.

It is very soft and easy and smooth to apply. The color is beautiful and vivid. The only thing I dislike a little that the tip break easily because it is too soft. However, I still like to use it.

These are fun to use and the colors are bright. They work well directly on paper or on a palette. The only drawbacks are that they are really messy (my hands are always full of the pigment), and they break (and sometimes crumble), with only a little bit of pressure. Even the small bits that may beak off can still be used. For me, these are not drawbacks but for some people, especially if they want to use them with children, they may not be the best choice.
