I was excited to give my 11 yr old this gift, his 24yr old brother had one at this age.. We obviously didn't get to setting it up right away. We started using it about a month ago and yes its loud but we expected that... your shaking a bunch of rocks, its not a lullaby. First 2 cycles worked just fine but then about 2 days into the third cycle it just stopped. We checked the plug and it started again but as I walked out of the room it stopped again. We gave it a day and moved it to another plug.. it runs about 5 seconds and stops. there is not a defect in the wheels and nothing tangled in it.. We put it in the laundry room because A.. its loud and B we didn't want anything (cats) messing with it. Very disappointed because at over $50 I cannot just go buy a new one.. So much for stem and getting away from video games as I hand him back his controller...ugh past return date so I guess 3 weeks and $60 bucks in the trash..

More noisy than expecting but just moved it out of my grandsons room and out in my workout room. He is 9 years old and really seemed enthused with it for christmas
