I purchased this as a direct replacement for the original on my older model storm door and it was very easy to replace and was an exact fit. It is easy to adjust with a little patience, it will take a few cycles of open and closing to get it to shut how you want by it will stay adjusted. It has been installed for a few months on the most used door in the house and it still works like day one, it is equivalent to the ones provided with new storm doors. I install storm doors regularly and I see no difference in quality to the major brands and this closer. Great value and strong closure with good tension and longevity.

Doesn't work in Canadian winters. It stopped creating resistance to the door slamming shut at -15C. Adjusting the resistance screw on the piston does nothing to help the problem.I bought two of these and both are failing in the same way.Best to avoid this product if you live in Canada.

It can in .packed well. Installed it. The adjustment to set speed of.closing the door is two speeds. Screwed all way in door closes sort of slow tune the scer out just an incriminate the door still slams as though it doesn't have a in-between speed. Not happy but to much trouble to , take down pack up and send back.

The overall quality is good & I guess my issue is with these door closures in general-they are extremely hard to adjust to prevent slamming or closing all the way. May just be me....

This product works great. I recently re-finished my screen / storm door and wanted to match its fresh finish with new equipment. The white is spot on and in gloss. No issues to report.
