Plants are decently sized and healthy when they came, but aren't meant to be in terrariums, and the dirt that came with them isn't that good.

I ordered 2 sets of two and a separate one a couple of months ago and they are still going and budding new arms! Very nice quality shipped and received. I recommend this company! Update as of January 2025! Still growing strong!

We’ve had our Fly Traps for about a month now and they are doing well. Right away several turned black but we cut them off and it’s surviving. I did order more peat moss because what came with the kit barely covered the roots. It’s been much healthier since adding the extra. Overall a great plant and my daughter loves it!

It's a no brainer. Used distilled or RO water that has no, or near no nutrients in it. Bog the container once a week and don't over feed it or play around and snap the jaws shut and it will do just fine. Over feeding is going to kill them. I have sister plants popping up with personally feeding it. Can't say the same for the random insect that was lured in. They can go a month with just 1 small insect for the whole plant as food.I personally think few more peat plugs could be added, but I will add more once the sister's are established. Really only enough peat to cover an area around both plants. My only complaint.

The plants arrived in less than good condition and then I wanted to return but it is not returnable so we planted them as directed and will be lucky if they grow even though we followed the directions to the tee.

The plants arrived alive as promised and were easy to replant in the soil provided. I was a little freaked out that they'd bite me even though I know that's a ridiculous thought, but it made me extra careful in planting them. They have grown very well since they've been here and have produced several new leaves. We fed them flies and ants and make sure they have lots of sun and rain water. They are referred to as "The Babies" collectively. :)

Of the 6 caterpillars we received, only one formed a chrysalis, and that one died before becoming a butterfly. We ordered a second batch. None of the second batch of 6 even made it to the chrysalis stage. There is nothing that the kit instructs you to do during the caterpillar and chrysalis stages (apart from keep them at room temp and out of direct sunlight), so there's nothing we could have done wrong. This kit seems to be a dud.
