I love this cage so much for raising monarchs I've purchased multiple of them, having the top opening is great but the side zipper is a must have as it allows you to unzip to clean and feed the butterflies without worry of hurting a caterpillar/chrysalis on the top of the cage. Other reviewers have stated the side zipper is to small and this is not true at all. I've been able to fit a large dinner plate in and out of the side zipper along with 2 foot tall milkweed plants with ease

This is the perfect intermediate enclosure for raising butterflies. I recently used it to raise 4 queen butterflies from caterpillars. It was the perfect size for one milkweed potted plant. I have also used it to protect some disabled monarchs who could not be released. I love that it has 2 openings. So useful for tending the caterpillars and plants. An important part of my enclosures for protecting and releasing healthy monarchs.

The cage was taller than others we have purchased. Great for butterflies. This cage was used to house cicadas (Broad X). worked great and our grandchildren enjoyed watching the life cycle of both. Because of the way the cage was made with an extra lower zipper, we were able to get things in and out of the cage for maintenance. Great cage, well worth the money.

I bought this so my granddaughter could watch her caterpillars turn into butterflies. It’s the perfect little butterfly house and worked well. It’s a sturdy, easy to clean product and we’re so happy we found this on Amazon!

We love this pop-up cage and have already released 2 of our hatched monarchs! I love that it collapses like our weed baskets for easy storage. It is the right quality for the price. I know we’ll reuse it for at least a few years. I’m very impressed with this product and would recommend it to anyone raising and releasing butterflies or anyone wanting to safely take a closer look at bugs without killing them.

I have not been using this long enough to review properly. It is more attractive looking than the plastic bug boxes I have been using, also roomier in case a butterfly emerges before I can get it outside. However, not sure yet how easy it will be to get the butterflies out - with the bug boxes, I just take the tops off and hang outside when chrysalis is ready to hatch.So I am still not sure how much better this will turn out to be, although it is much nicer to look at!
