This was easier to carry to the beach than an umbrella and handled the wind better once it was anchored down properly. I anchored it down with the stakes provided and they held fine in the wind. The material is a thicker nylon, thicker than what you would see a tent made out of. A picnic table would fit just right under it.

The package bag is good and a suggestion to have a two way zipper.The poles are solid but a little bite heavy.

NatureHike has become one of my favorite camping brands over the last few months. This tarp tent is fantastic. The one I got is approximately 16' x 12.5'. It's huge. It's surprisingly easy to set up, even for one person. And it also fits in a small bag for easy storage. The tarp works incredibly well. We set it up for a camping trip in the rain. It didn't seem to leak at all. It also provides great sun protection on a hot day. This is a really well built tarp tent. Everything about it seems like great quality for the price. I'd certainly recommend it 100%.
