It’s pretty cheaply made so the rope flexes a lot when trying to pull the cord for trolling motor.

This rope is about half the thickness of the rope that came with the Motor Guide trolling motor. It might work for a while, but it is far from being able to last for long with the power it takes to release the latch pins. This rope might be fine with other types of trolling motors but not for a Motor Guide.
