cheap thin metal. It screwed on well, but less than a month it got very loose and i was u able to tighten again. It would tighten but for a few days. The threads are thin and did notlast.

Pros:-Thickness of the walls of the extension were a selling point- Standard size fits easily- adds a little extra length to short shower head extension arm provided by builderCons:- The teflon tape provided was thin and tore easily. Had to use other teflon tape from hardware store so t wouldn't leak.

We purchased this to replace a shower neck that was angled straight out so the water would come out of the faucet head and go straight against the back wall of our shower. This curved neck allows us to position it much better so it shoots downward. The white extension piece on there is just for a shower floss system. Very happy with the neck, it allows us to comfortably use our entire shower stall.
