Used primarily as a flange gasket, this material is so strong and durable it doesn’t fail over thermal cycling and wet, oily or abrasive environments. Neoprene Rubber is used for demanding applications that involve tough rubber that has a high resistance to tearing and a higher susceptibility to corrosion.

21MAR25I ordered one square foot of 0.25" thick 70A Duro Neoprene and received half a cylinder, i.e. it's not close to flat. Take a look at the Amazon delivery photo. When I bend it flat the edges (plane to 1/4" section) aren't even square; it's that curved. I'm using it as a giant coaster for a flat-bottomed trash container. Hopefully, in a few days, it might flatten out.

This was advertised at 40A hardness and tested at an average 76A hardness with a shore A durometer. Various other samples of rubbers had tested within 5-10 of advertised shore A with the same durometer. The sheet also had several tears/cracks in it. This was useless for my project, as I bought it specifically because it was advertised as a softer material.

I've got pieces of this between my bed frame and the floor, as well as between my desk and heavier things clamped to it. It's a good, solid, strip of rubber.

It seems the proper durometer as advertised. It stinks and it stinks for weeks and weeks. It came rolled up, which is fine. The big issue is that it is horribly cupped between the long sides. It's got some sort of coating that's rather oily on one side. Both sides are rather smooth, one side shiny and oily and the other side dull and dry. I'm not able to use it for my intended purpose as the cupping will not go away. It seems like there is a lot of tension in it and that is causing the cupping. I cut out a piece to the size I needed and left it under a heavy weight for a week and when the weight was removed, the rubber was still cupped.

I used to buy cut offs like this at a local shop, but they quit handling it. I'm glad to amazon and the "Small Parts" vendor for filling this void. It makes my little projects possible. This will be the anti-rattle cushion for a hatch of an under floor showerbase in my tiny home on wheels. Neoprene rubber like this, glued with contact cement on to aluminum or stainless steel, is an excellent cushioning product in between moving metal parts. Durable and long lasting no matter the automotive lubricants, or weather conditions.

I used this as a pad between an enduro motorcycle case and brake pedal. The case is notorious for getting punctured.I used an industrial 3M neoprene contact adhesive (1357).It got scraped to heck, between rocks, boots, sand and gravel. But that bond never gave up, and my case is good as new.It sands well with 220 grit to scuff off the smooth oxidized layer for better bonding. It cuts easily with scissors or xacto knife.

I used this product to make rubber pistol magazine basepads for my Ruger P89DC. No one manufactures protective basepads to protect them from damage when they are ejected during competition. With the use of a bench mounted disc sander and a drill bit, I was able to shape them exactly as I needed. I attached them with contact cement, and they look and work great, like the magazines came from the factory with rubber basepads. The material can be difficult to cut...so make sure you have a very sharp blade on what ever you use. Also, cut it a little larger than you need if you are going to sand them to size.

This oil resistant Neoprene is the same material Taig Tools puts on their mills to protect the ways, lead screws and stepper motors from hot chips. It is Neoprene, but it is NOT spongy like a wetsuit. It is more like flexible rubber material that can be draped over machinery that needs to be kept clean, and it stays put. Cuts easily.

So I used this for the facings on a pool table. You put the facing on to cap the rubber cushions at the pocket openings .....and it worked perfectly cloth is not damaged when balls hit it and the bounce is consistent.I don't know what other uses it has but this is a very dense rubber so the possibilities are endless. Hard to get anywhere else unless you order a lot of it.
