The bottoms are not a universal fit like other oil candle companies. These have larger, rounded bottoms (like Weebles), and they didn’t fit the openings of my Michal Ben Yosef hanukkiah. Just be aware of your opening size. If it’s the size of a Shabbat candlestick, you’ll be fine with these. For those with smaller openings like mine, Ner Mitzvah oil cups have a Hanukkah candle-sized bottom that fit perfectly and sit flat in the holder.

This is a great product that some smart head developed to facilitate the Hanukkah candle lighting. The oil cups are organized so that you know how many should be put on each Hanukkah day. They come with pre-inserted wicks and proper amount of olive oil, and the only thing that needs to be done is to open each cup by breaking the seal and place the proper amount of them in the Hanukkah candle holder ("Hanukkiah"). A wonderful idea, indeed!

Works great! They work as advertised. If you are careful and want to save some money, They can be reused. Because the glass can be jagged when broken, I used a mini torch to melt the glass around the hole until it was smooth. With a small syringe I replaced the oil. The hardest part was finding a good wick. I tried several candle/oil wicks with limited success (they would burn with only a small flame and not consume all the oil) After searching around I found 1/16" round fiberglass wicks that work really well, they give good flame and good burn duration. (See attached photo) The link to amazon seller of the wicks is https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6ZK5BS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I hope this helps someone else. Happy Chanukah!

If you light a menorah once a year like I do these are fantastic. You have to have the type menorah that accepts little cups but if you do these are a classy very clean and easy way to light your menorah with no fuss. You'll see a little red plastic piece underneath the cover, this is a cracker that breaks the top of the glass off and exposes the wick. (These are made of glass) You can of course simply purchase wax candles like most people and deal with the mess that it makes however I have a menorah made out of Jerusalem stone and do not want to stain it with colored wax or even clean up the wax in between the candleholders. I upgraded to the wider cups, started buying these glass prefilled oil cups, and the aesthetic is excellent with no cleanup other than throwing away the spent glass cups. One last thought, if you notice the packaging is a triangle… That's a clever little way to help you keep track of which day it is and how many candles to light. The first line is for the first night, second line is for the second night, and so on. I think you be very happy with this, I have been for the last several years that I've been using it.

This was my first time with oil. I was very disappointed. They would not stay lite. The wick keep slide in the oil so it keep going out. I would be buy again. It cost way to much for them not to work.

My set was perfect: Every cup burned completely, with a nice flame, and set-up was quick and easy. With competing products, I have hadspilling during shipping, lots of leftover oil, and wicks that had to berepositioned carefully and messily.

These oil cups are a little hard to open....you have to actually break the glass and also somewhat of a challenge to light (even though a wick is included), but once you do get them lit and in the Menorah, they are brighter and burn longer than the normal Hanukkah candles. Also, there is no drip to clean up. I am now a believer in these oil cups and will use them in my Menorahs for all future Hanukkah celebrations! They are that awesome.
