These things are not all that, it doesn’t work, it doesn’t cut well through the wick. Maybe wooden wicks. I will find somewhere else to buy another one. I had to use my heat gun to fix my candle

I'm so glad I finally have a candle wick trimmer! The scissors are shaped with a nice indented tray-like thing that holds the trimmed piece so it doesn't going flying across the room. These are perfect.

It cuts the wicks well and is sharp. However, the angle does make it a little difficult to cut wick lower down in thinner candle jars.

If you, or someone you know for gift purposes, is into candles, this is a game changer. I think the most difficult thing I ever encountered in my candle lighting over the years was simply trying to keep the wick properly trimmed as the candle receded lower and lower through burning. Now, however, I have items such as this, which totally remove that frustration from the equation. No more accidentally over-trimming and ruining a perfectly good and yummy candle. Now it is easy to trim properly and with precision.The item being made of stainless steel will look good and last for quite a long time, and at this price, I consider it to be such a great value-add to anyone who's lighting candles with any kind of regularity. I totally recommend it, and am so pleased with it. Oh, the weight of it is perfect, allowing you just that proper control, even when the implement is long, as is this.Great job!

This tool is specialized for use in trimming the wicks on candles. I like to keep the wicks trimmed to 1/4" and this tool does the trick.This all-metal implement is a kind of modified pair of scissors, with the tip widened and bent so it gets under the wick, and then acts like a spatula so you can get the trimmings out trouble-free.The item as received lines up to cut with with surgical precision, and seems to have an adjustable screw holding it together so if it gets loose, maybe I can tighten it back up. I don't think it will some loose anytime soon, though.I have used it multiple times now and I am quite satisfied with it. Wipe the tip with a paper towel, to get the old wax off, and you will notice that it happens to have little in the way of sharp edges. This would make this tool relatively safe compared to most scissors-type tools, which is a plus in my opinion.When I got this, I thought it would be a luxury, but it really is more of a necessity if you use candles around the house. This is a high quality candle wick trimmer that I am quite pleased with. If I were to offer one suggestion, it might be to make the angle at the tip closer to 90 degrees. It already works fine for me, but this might make it even easier to use.

I didn't know this existed! For years I've had difficulty trimming wicks, especially those in bottles, like Yankee Candle and WoodWick. This trimmer makes it easy. But even with tapers, you get a better result than with a conventional pair of scissors. This trims just what you want, and is very easy to use. And it keeps soot from collecting in the jar by separating the part you cut for easy removal. It also keeps your fingers clean. If you've trimmed a wick by hand you know what I mean. This is a very practical device that is a must if you use candles regularly. This, and a snuffer, and you're in business!

Worked well to snip my 3 wick BBW candle. Snipped wick stays on top of snips and makes it easy to remove. Snips aren’t sharp like scissors but snips very well. The angle allowed me to reach candle that’s in a 9” glass candle holder.

I looked at 40+ different wick trimmers in all price ranges. They all included critical reviews commenting scissors just "squeeze the wick - no clean cuts", including this one.These wick trimmer scissors work great. This is my first pair & at the start I was not able to clean-cut wicks. The problem was me. Some wicks may need to be in the "V" of scissors for a stronger cut. Make sure the blades are straight before cutting. e.g. slanted blades won't cut For the actual cut: one quick close (keep blade closed to retrieve burned wick piece)General info about wick trimmer scissors:- all had critical reviews that trimmers are useless for pillar candles in cylinders- I noticed some trimmers included a "wick catcher". Dried wax easy to remove on regular trimmers. imo the "wick catcher" would just be an extra piece to remove wax from
