Works great! Use this as a small animal sanctuary owner. Instantly finds and correctly reads all the chips on our residents and has correctly identified chip vs no chip on strays.

The reader was unable to find any of the three dog's microchips. I'm not sure if their fur has anything to do with it. All are Bernese Mountain Dogs. All three are microchipped and the dog in question, who is a foster, was verified by the vet that she is microchipped. The device would read the test chip it came with.

Works great. Very thin and easy to fit in pocket. Just what I needed.Only reason for 4star is it on reads the 15 digit codes not some of the older codes.

I originally bought this for a couple feral cats I was taking care of, but the microchip reader couldn’t pick up anything on them anywhere. Afterwards, I had the chance to test the reader’s accuracy when I took them to the vet and they used their big professional scanner on them. They couldn’t find anything either, so it confirmed that this reader was accurate!Just to verify, I used it on both of my pets and it picked up their chip right away.

There are lots of choices for chip readers. This one does a great job and didn't cost an arm and a leg. We take care of stray, orphaned, and feral cats in our neighborhood. The chip reader comes in handy to see if the cat possibly belongs to someone. We have successfully used it several times. Recharges quickly. Holds a charge well. Comes with a test chip to make sure it's working well.

This product works wonderfully to scan microchips. It’s fast and easy. The numbers are legible and clear. Very affordable and convenient to have on hand when you find lost pets. I also use mine to randomly check my own dog’s microchip to ensure it hasn’t moved in his body and is still readable. This one item has gotten a couple pets home now. Thank you.
