One thing that I particularly find frustrating about therapy devices for the shoulder is that most are rather complicated to set up and difficult to put into position. Having experienced shoulder pain many times over the last couple years, I have tried using different wraps and braces to obtain relief. I do understand that the shoulder, with respect to shape and position on the body, poses some challenges with regard to keeping them in place, particularly when moving around. For me, this wrap seems a bit more complicated than most, and a little more guidance with regard to how to set it up would have been appreciated…perhaps a short video. The “sleeve” that is referred to in the product page instructions is actually not a “sleeve” until I “make it a sleeve” by fastening the velcro straps around my arm. My wife finally helped me get it into proper position. Once that was accomplished, I thought it was quite good. It provides a generous area of coverage, not just for my deltoid region like other wraps. The air pump lets me get the therapy closer to where I need it, and the option to use heat as well is certainly a good thing to have. Perhaps for some, set up will be a piece of cake, but for those of us who are not as intuitively inclined with setting up things like this, it was a little bit challenging the first time.

This is a nice product to have on hand for both acute and chronic shoulder issues. It may be used hot or cold and the pump compression is a very nice feature.

I got this for a rotator cuff injury I sustained. It was easy to put on, held in place, and iced the area for 20 minute sessions. Easy to clean. No harsh smells. I will continue to use and update this review if needed.

I was very anxious to receive this shoulder wrap. My husband has shoulder issues and I'm always on the lookout for something which can help alleviate his discomfort. This wrap sounded like it might be the perfect solution. Providing both cooling (or heat) and inflated compression, it seemed like it was a product which addressed numerous issues. Anticipation and reality were two very different things with this wrap. First, while checking out the gel pack it was very noticeable that the gel was not evenly distributed throughout the pack. In fact, there were entire sections which had no gel whatsoever. I tried pushing and squeezing the gel to more evenly distribute it, but that effort didn't produce the desired effect. Also, because the gel was not even in the pack, there was noticeable cooling around the upper arm, but very little on the shoulder joint. The second problem with the wrap was the compression portion. It inflates via a hand pump. We pumped and pumped until the wrap would not inflate any further. While there was significant compression around the upper arm, the top portion (around the should itself) just distended and became hard. No matter how much we tightened the strap which holds the wrap in place, we were unable to achieve any type of significant compression over the shoulder joint. Overall, while it seemed that the wrap had the potential of providing benefit for shoulder issues, it fell short in a number of ways. 2 stars.

This is a really nice way to ice down your shoulder without having to make your own ice pack. This device also has a compression component which is really nice for ensuring my shoulder and upper arm fit snuggly into it and it gives some comfort and a gentle reminder to not move my arm while I’m using it. I placed the wrap in the freezer for a few hours and it was nice and cold when I pulled it out. I wore it for about 40 minutes before having to re-freeze it to use on my other shoulder. Re-freezing only took about 2 hours. I’ve noticed great improvement on my overall workout recovery. Overall, great product.

This compression wrap with hot or cold therapy is perfect for someone recovering from shoulder replacement surgery. The reusable gel pack can be frozen for up to 2 hours for cold relief (which lasts 20-30 minutes) or microwaved for 30-40 seconds for about 20 minutes of heat relief.The pump-up compression feature is helpful for pain relief, whether using the hot or cold feature. This wrap is well made and can be used for either shoulder. The price is reasonable based on the quality.

the inflatable feature is good, but it doesn't get as cold as ice or ice pack.Wouldn't recommend personally, just doesn't help with my shoulder pain.
