Kept having our alarm go off due to "hood open" notification. It was so frustrating and I'm sure my neighbors wanted to GTA this car when it was going off at 3am. We wouldn't be a le to start the car from the app because it would show "hood open" it was a nightmare! Thankfully this little gadget fixed the problem! Swapping it was so easy! I will say, after we "finished" It was registering "hood open" permanently at first but we watched another YouTube video that you have to push down the little sensor thing and once we did, it worked seamlessly. Watch youtube videos, take your time and it's a $20 fix instead of $200+ .

The installation was really straightforward. Once I had it installed I couldn't get the hood to close. I had to simply turn the cushion pad on the hood bottom a couple of turns and it went swimmingly. Went from a $200 repair job to a $15 DIY.

This product does not fit a 2006 Lr3.The “cable pull” length is not right, so if you install this product when you pull the lever to open your hood, it will not release. I’m glad I tested it before closing my hood.*Do not buy*
