I am a very casual fisherman and occasionally throw out a line from my dock that is on a saltwater canal in southwest Florida. I like catching fish but I don’t love touching them and getting spiked by their sharp fins. This product allows me to grip the slimey little guy without having to touch it while I extract the hook. It does a pretty good job of holding the fish but the really energetic ones are able to slide annd flop out pretty easily. The product seems to be pretty good quality but I am pretty sure that I am going to end up accidentally breaking one or two of the times simply out of dropping or mishandling it.

More and more these days I run into these kinds of purchases. Stuff that falls apart the MINUTE you use them. How about some quality control. Probably won't update my membership. I live in the country and amazon has made it easy to skip driving to town for every little thing I need. But when I have to drive into town for every little return I have to make I question why I have amazon in the first place.These were to be a Father's Day gift. Right out of the package the handles fell OFF. And it's not a "one off", it's easy to see that all of these fish holder thingys are going to fall apart. Piece of hooey. Don't buy them, you'll be sorry. ...."sorry Dad your Father's day gift is junk."
