  • Variable pitch winding delivers ultra-low resistance, a powerful spark and outstanding EMI/RFI noise suppression
  • Numbered for easy cylinder identification and coil wires are color coded for correct and easy installation
  • Positive-locking, corrosion-resistant stainless steel terminal ends for tight fit and maximum resistance to vibration and separation

NGK Wire Set: 7mm ultra-low resistance magnetic core, wire wound ignition cable with OEM or better specified spark plug and distributor boots. High temp silicone jacket resists underhood temperatures up to 482 degrees F. High density, premium fiberglass braiding reinforcement over EPDM / silicone inner insulation for superior dielectric strength and excellent cable tensile strength. NGK wire sets are built to meet stringent OEM tolerances for a variety of vehicles. They utilize a construction method known as variable pitch wire winding to create resistance to radio frequency interference. The variable pitch winding provides suppression throughout a very wide range by scrambling and breaking up the electrical waves radiated by the firing of the spark plugs. NGK wire sets provide superior firing and fuel savings, outstanding durability, excellent noise suppression, and consistent performance.

This was my first time doing a spark plug wire change on my RX8, i’ve had the car for about a month and followed some detailed instructions on YouTube. Keep in mind that the spark plug wires are color-coded for leading and trailing plugs, so make sure you use the proper ones on the specific ignition coils!

They're nice but not the same length as the OEM so it's not obvious which goes where. The numbers on them are not much help since they don't tell us if #1 goes on the front or the back plug. A simple piece of paper showing a connection map would have been nice.

Works great, fits perfect and the length is just right. Not really an upgrade (as they are just wires) but perfect as a stock replacement for my rx8 r3. Lifetime warranty is dope too.

Great replacement. Fit perfect in my rx8. I also bought the ignition packs and spark plugs and did a full tune up. Wasn't hard to install. I didn't realize how much better my car was going to run.

2006 RX-8. Replaced plugs, coils and wires with NFK Laser Iridium Racing spark plugs, NGK (4858) ZE81 Spark Plug Wire Set and IC023 UF501 N3H118100B9U 04-09 MAZDA RX-8 Set 4PCS Ignition Coil. Was having difficulty starting and very low power at low revs. Problem solved. I'd forgotten how well this car performs. Various videos on YouTube that show how to do it. During install be careful not to break the air inlet duct elbows as the hoses 'weld' on to them. You may need to replace the "Rx8 ignition coil bracket" as the posts that hold the coils can snap. Use WD-120. (ie wd-40 three times) Lots of good information at RX8Club.com.

Bought this based on other reviews. Installed them on my 2010 Mazda Rx-8 R3 with BWD intermotor ignition coils, on spark plugs with about 4000 miles on them. Very pleased, I think the engine runs better than on the day I bought it. I was surprised when I turned onto a 45mph road and the back kicked out a little more than I expected.I saved hundreds by installing them myself. Let the engine cool. Loosen up the intake components leading to the throttle body with a 10mm socket and needle-nose pliers for wire holder clip on the intake box and moved them out of the way. Remove the front wheel and everything was accessible. Mark the stock wires (with permanent marker) and swap the protectors onto the appropriate NGK wires. All NGK wires are slightly longer than stock wires by a half-inch or so. Smother the contacts with dielectric grease. (I marked the ignition coil harnesses since I was replacing the coils also--just squeeze the ends and they slide off the coils easily.) Install the NGK wires one at a time--push until they "snap" onto the sparkplugs--and adjust the wire protectors to keep them from the nearby metal and block.I would buy again if I don't feel like ponying up for a BHR or LS2 ignition kit on the next round.Bonus: Blue silicone jackets complement my blue car.

I needed a new set of Spark Plug Wires to go with the replacement ignition coils I just installed in my 2004 Mazda RX-8. This set worked perfectly. At first I was a little worried about length, but these wires proved to be slightly longer than the stock ones. That was perfect, since the stock ones were just barely long enough to reach.Since installation about 3 months ago, the RX-8 has been running smoothly. Although I think that is more thanks to replacing the ignition coils. Spark Plug wires don't really include any fancy features or differences between brands, either they work or they don't. These ones work.If you end up changing your wires on your RX-8, it is an easy job.-Just jack up the front of the car, (be sure to use jack-stands or tire ramps. NEVER rely on just a jack, unless you don't mind a 2000 lb car falling on top of you.)-Use a flashlight and reach past the mud guard on the inside of the DRIVER side wheel well. You'll see the spark plugs and the wires attached to them there. If the car is jacked up, it should be an easy reach. No need to remove the tire, the job takes about 10 minutes.

My RX8 had a coil pack go bad which they are notorious for causing rear rotor to flood so a plug change was in order. Since I was changing 2 rears might as well change all 4 and wires to go with the new coil packs for a complete ignition system tune up since it had 65k miles. NGK wires exceed oem quality and for $27 + $80 for all 4 plugs it was a steal from Amazon. Parts store wanted $100 for plugs $40 for wires, dealer wanted $150 for plugs $80 for wires! Amazon shipped free in 2-3 days for all items from different vendors, outstanding. After changing everything it idles smoother, gets better mpg, and feels more powerful.
