This pack is great. It comes with 12 knifes, which come out to less than $2 a piece. Definitely a great price. They are well made. With a soft wood handle. The 2 sided blade part of the knife is sharp enough for the task at hand, but not sharp for them to really cut your skin in a light motion. Although per the listing it is advised to wear gloves. Exciting, bring on the seafood!

These oyster knives are really built for prying--good, thick stainless steel and a blunt tip that tapers enough to slide the point into a crevasse and work it open. The edges are not actually sharp. I tried to get photos of it, though close-up photos of stainless steel never really work. There is a flat edge all around the rim, so it would be almost impossible to cut yourself with these. The guard is really more important for keeping the oyster shell from cutting you than for keeping your fingers away from the blade.Since they're stainless, they're easy to clean. I'm hopeful that they can serve for other purposes as well, besides just oysters: prying open nut shells, and coring tomatoes for canning, for example. The dull safety edges are a great thing for letting youngsters join in for processing the harvest, without worrying about accidents. The set of a dozen lets the whole family gathering work together, old family shucking-day style.They'll also double as cheese spreaders and butter paddles!

There are 12 oyster knives in the set- wooden handles with metal blades, the blades are not sharp (oyster knives should not be sharp).With the wooden handles, though, I would not throw them into the dishwasher.Oyster Shucking Party!

These knives have great strength to handle the tough shells. Having a set is perfect because I can get help or host parties and roast up a ton of seafood, allowing my guests to open their own. The guard for hands is incredibly helpful. It does protect my hands. The wooden handle is nice because it gives me something firm to hold on to without having the awkwardness of metal that slips in my hands. Overall, great pick and I do recommend these!

These are quality shuckers. The handle is nice and smooth wood, the blade is stainless and they feel like a quality piece in your hand. They have enough weight to them to feel like they won't bend and break when shucking. They are sharpened enough to help you shuck with ease, but not so much they are hazardous. I don't have a single complaint about the knifes at all.I had to remove a star because the description said these came with a cut resistant glove, I did not receive a glove at all. Thankfully I had 2 old ones, but I will be purchasing more separately, which I did not intend to do. I would have easily given this 5 stars had a decent glove been included

These are a great set of oyster knives! Especially for the price. They are sharp and thick enough to help you get in almost any oyster. The handles are a perfect fit for everyone - they fit well in both my hand and in the guys’ hands. Timing was perfect for these as we are having a big oyster roast in a couple of weeks and I like that there are several matching knives we can all use.
