Ink flows smooth out of a Lamy F tip. There's a little bleed through on thin papers, but the color is rich and smooth. Overall this is a great ink for journaling, note taking, and your "daily driver" pen.

I am always on the fence with Noodler's inks. I don't love them but I keep trying them for some reason. They tend to dry out quickly in my pens and usually bleeds or feathers on all but the "higher end" papers like Rhodia. It's a nice purple color that I wish was a little darker toward black with a finer drier nib it's just to purple for me.

The bottle had leaked, not much but enough to stick to the box.The ink is stellar. I'm very happy with it.

I have 2 fountain pens and I use this ink in both. It is very lovely and smooth and it's purple it couldn't get any better.

Great purple color. And yes, it really does remind me of a purple martin bird in the summer sun (but not metallic shiny!). Great ink that works well as a true purple. Behaves well in my Edison and Bexley fountain pens.

Good stuff, just as advertised. Noodler's Ink Company makes my favorite fountain pen inks and when this one turned up on Amazon for a fair price I took advantage of it. The ink is a deep dark sort of "sober" purple, less "festive" than some of Noodler's other purple & violet inks. Entirely enjoyable, plus it was shipped quickly.

This is one my favorites even though it is so hard to pick a favorite out of Noodlers inks. For the last 3 months, purple martin has been in two of my go-to fountain pens. I'm a professional and this purple allows some fun while being serious. It's a serious purple with a hint of fun in it. I love it and you will not be disappointed. The ink adds some distinguishment to your writing. You don't see purple right away from afar but it makes your eye come in closer and pleasantly pay attention to what was written. Buy it!
