In my personal opinion this item is overpriced. It is literally a piece of thick silicone. Yes it will protect the counter. Has a good grip on the surface. It is easy to use but I don't see how it can be so expensive.

This is a very useful and functional tamping station with several storage slots in it.First, let me say that I'm a huge Normcore fan. I already have a wooden Normcore tamping station and several Normcore baskets and filters, which I use all the time. And although I had a thin silicone mat on my counter, it was small and it didn't have the accessory slots that this Normcore station has in it.I needed a place to store some of the accessories I've accrued, like metal filters, rakes, filter papers, and WDTs. So now I have this beautiful Normcore silicone tamping mat next to my beautiful Normcore tamping station. It's much thicker than my previous one and feels very substantial. I'm very happy with it. This was a significant upgrade for me!

This thing will keep your espresso station clean and organized without taking up too much space. The non-slip silicone grips my counter well and the overhang adds extra stability when tamping. It’s got spots for everything you need making it a solid upgrade for any home barista setup.Everything from Norm is top-notch. Sure there are cheaper options, but this one feels nice and premium. Cleaning is simple and easy. And if you’re already deep into Normcore gear, this fits right in and pairs perfectly. Love it ☕

This espresso tamping pad is an excellent addition to any coffee set up! It fits items perfectly providing a stable and secure surface for tamping. The design is both functional and stylish, with a nice color that adds a touch to my coffee station. Price also reasonable. I highly recommend for anyone looking to improve their espresso-making experience,

I previously had an unorganized mess pretending to be a tamping station, so this could only be an upgrade. I like the counter overhang design. It really stays in place. The quality of the silicone seems quite good and it is coffee stain resistant (the brown color I picked doesn't hurt with that either) and easy to rinse off. It fit a 58mm portafilter fine. The only downsides are the faux woodgrain pattern (I like it less in person than in the photos) and the cost, which seems to be higher than most other silicone tamping mats.

Es muy buen material, solo que al ser blanco se mancha con el café y no se limpia tan fácil

Organising coffee tools became much easier with this tamping station. The mat stays securely in place, even with repeated use, and the design accommodates various setups without feeling cluttered. Cleaning is quick, as the material doesn’t retain residue or stains. It’s a practical addition to any home barista’s setup, keeping everything tidy and accessible while providing a stable surface for tamping.

I had never come across one of these before so when I saw it I wanted to give it a try. It's made form a non-slip material which is very handy as you can make a mess in the process. I like the fact it small enough to take over the sink and give a little tap to get rid of the waste. A good product that is although seems basic is actually very effective.

This product from Normcore arrived in the usual packaging they use, which is generally a matte black cardboard box with the company logo placed onto it. Inside the box you get the silicone tamping station which is protected and kept clean with a clear plastic pouch placed over it.It’s a fairly standard tamping station that requires the edge of a table or countertop to work, which you’ll either love or hate. I’m a bigger fan of the self-contained tamping stations that don't require the edge of a table or counter. This design takes up limited countertop or table space that could otherwise be used when the espresso machine isn’t needed. However, If you’ve got the space to spare or prefer this design then it’s as good as any other silicone tamping station that sits on the edge of a surface near your machine. So while it’s not my favourite design, the quality of the material and the moulding is spot on and I really can’t fault anything about the product, it fits all of my 58mm accessories without an issue and has space for everything Normcore claims it does on their website. It’s made from very thick and durable silicone that will have no issues gripping to and protecting surfaces from any potential damage and of course it cleans up very easily with a wipe from a dampened cloth in most cases. My only real complaint and a continuous trend with the Normcore stuff, is the fact that it’s very expensive for a relatively simple design made from plain old silicone. At the current asking price of £32.99 I can quite easily list off a half dozen alternatives that are made from nicely finished wood or anodised aluminium, for around the same price point. Generic silicone tamping stations with similar designs are generally £15-£20 for 58mm sized accessories, so I do think this is somewhat overpriced for what it is. Some of the Normcore is genuinely innovative and worth the price, but this is one of the ones that misses the mark for me personally. If you’re alright with the price point and want to get the Normcore version of a tamping station, then It’s perfectly fine, but I can’t say it’s doing anything unique or better than the dozens of alternatives out there.

Had a cheap matt, this one is a definite upgrade in terms of the material used, doesn’t seem to be as prone to staining

I got this tamping mat to use with my Breville Bambino Plus, which uses a 54mm Portafilter and accessories. The mat seems really well made. It’s much thicker than other mats out there. The material seems high quality. The mat is tacky and provides good grip on my counter and the top feels smoother and less tacky, which I like. I like that it has enough spots for everything I use. I also like that the compartments are made for 58mm accessories so I was able to put my cover for my tamper in there and it fits perfectly. The price is high for this, considering I’ve had a few before at half the cost. I get it though as the brand is known for good quality and the mat certainly is. As much as I like the wood grain design, which looks great, I don’t think the color is spot on. The picture looks more brown but in person it has a kind of mauve tint to it. I was hoping for it to look more brownish. The only other con is the spot for tamping. That insert is not a solid piece so when I go to tamp, it gives a little and it doesn’t feel great. I end up tamping on the large flat area and that feels much better. Overall, the quality’s there and it does what I need it to do.

This tamping station is incredibly well-built and sleek. It fits perfectly into my coffee setup and really elevates the experience. The padding underneath holds everything in place while I tamp, and the portafilter groove is sturdy and balanced. It’s also compact enough for small spaces but doesn’t sacrifice functionality.
