I'm pleased with this WDT Tool from Normcore and use it daily with my morning espresso. I had a previous WDT Tool that was not from a well-known brand but was functionally similar. First, I'll talk about WDT. If you aren't using any WDT Tool already, this makes a massive difference in your coffee. WDT helps reduce channeling and improve puck consistency from shot to shot, and once I started doing WDT, there was no way I would go back to skipping it. It only takes a few extra seconds during my prep and makes a huge difference. Compared with other WDT tools, I can't say this tool from Normcore makes coffee noticeably better. However, it's easier to use than the tool I had first. Unlike other tools, this one sits securely in its little cradle and is fast to pick up, use, and put back down without knocking something over (a problem I had with my first one). Additionally, it looks much nicer on my countertop next to my other coffee equipment, which is essential if you live with a significant other! This is a worthwhile purchase because of those extra niceties compared with something more function-over-form.

To preface, as I do with all the espresso gear, I am not an expert with espresso. This is a very nice distributor that has become an every day part of my espresso making. I had a smaller distributor that did not do as well overall as it only had a few needles. I'm not sure if it has to do with the spread of the needles or the amount but that would be my guess--like I said, not an expert on this. This distributor is a nice weight in hand and has 2 needle sizes to choose from. I picked the smaller needles and those seem to do a good job breaking up the espresso and evening it all out. I've gotten a nice puck by using this distributor which I didn't get before. It actually feels nice to use this on the grounds--like it's kind of fun to use.Honestly, I love the look of it too, it just looks very nice sitting on the counter. The wood grain handle is very attractive. It's easy to clean insofar as you just can rinse the needles, but if you want to get it cleaner you can take the needles out for a deep clean.I would highly recommend this. It's a little expensive but it feels worth it in comparison to a smaller, less quality distributor.

Pricy but nice quality coffee floofer. Really love the wooden handle and little stand. Looks great and helps distribute and get an even pack within the coffee puck.

I LOVE this WDT tool from Normcore. The handle is the perfect size and thickness, so you don't feel like you are going to drop it. It's easy to use and put together, it comes with a nice stand and looks nice with the wood finish! It works well and the needles on the WDT are the perfect size for breaking the clumps up in the espresso puck!

Works great, definitely a keeper. My only gripe is coffee grounds stick to the needles

I love this item, it’s more about the look than anything. It matches some of my coffee accessories.

This is a beautiful WDT tool! I love the walnut handle. It works wonderfully, and does the job perfectly to remove clumps. It comes with a compact little stand as well, which is nice, and it has some weight to it so that it's unlikely to easily tip over.I've only used one WDT tool previously, which is magnetic and clips to the side of my machine. That's very nice that it's hidden out of the way. The prongs on this one are spread a bit more wide, which may be why magnetic wasn't an option here, but it's also more aesthetically pleasing, so I'm not opposed to having it sit out on the counter. My biggest issue isn't actually with the product, but just with Normcore in general, which is that they never include instructions with their products. The prongs come separate from the handle, and there are both 0.25 and 0.3 mm sizes. I don't know why I would pick one versus the other, for one thing. But also, the instructions are so minimal for actually assembling the product. It says "just insert the needles into the slots". I was worried they might fall out, but it did seem to work without issue. However, there's also a QR code to see instructional video, but the instructional video it links to shows the user twist the handle to open up the product for insertion of the needles. It's not the right product, since this one doesn't twist. Just a bit confusing for initial setup, and they could do a better job on this aspect, but otherwise it's a wonderful product, like everything else from Normcore!

Great little tool and stand. The needles push right into the handle, making changes and cleaning simple. High quality wood and metal, well formed and good engraving in the wood. The stand has a pad on the base that keeps it from sliding around when picking the tool up or placing it back. The stand is also heavy for it's size. The way the needles are angled and spaced out makes using it easy. I have an off brand WDT and the needles are all straight down, and it is not as effective as this Normcore WDT, thy also move around, where as this Normcore WDT holds all of the needles securely.I'm spending half the time distributing out and de-clumping my coffee grounds and couldn't be happier because of it.The added benifit from it's usability are the looks. It compliments the rest of my espresso tools and setup. Continuing to add class to an already wonderful collection.Normcore yet again knocking it out of the park with simplicity, form, & function.
