Tel que souhaité. Ça nous a évité de devoir acheter un autre cyclomètre GPS. C’est parfait.

While attempting to remove the original battery, the pc board contact for the battery broke. Seems that they are very sensitive to physical movement. Had to buy a new gps unit for biking. I could not rate battery life, was not easy to install and the value is that I had to spend a lot of money to replace my edge 800 for an Edge 1030.

First battery installed with NewPower 99 replaced Feb 2022 lasted to Oct 2022. Second unit ordered Oct 2022 had a bad connect that would not engage the PC board mount connector on the Garmin. Either way one may view these, very short lifespan and poor execution on connectors.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭: if you have a Garmin 800 whose battery isn't holding a charge for very long, buy this! You won't regret it!𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭: I purchased my Garmin 800 back in 2011 and it has served me very, very reliably over the course of several tens of thousands of miles. However, I'd begun to notice the battery had seen better days, originally lasting from around 17½ hours, dropping down to about 5-5½ hours. The replacement battery's installation was fairly straightforward (the new battery comes with the necessary Torx tool and How-To video CD). Before the upgrade, my 800 would tell me the battery was low during a ride, then die (as one would expect); however, when I'd go to charge the unit, it would display a 35%'ish battery level - obviously far more than enough to have gotten quite a few more miles if that were indeed an accurate reading. After this upgrade, my 800 will still invariably report low battery, but only after 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚, 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚 more miles and hours than I'd have gotten before (on a single charge). And when I do finally charge it, it shows a more believable 5-10%'ish battery life.𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥, this upgrade is worth every penny and then some. I've seen where several people have dinged the vendor/manufacturer for the battery being 1,000mAh versus the original 1,100 mAh from Garmin. While I'll admit I was moderately concerned about this roughly 10% difference in juice, 17+ hours of "new life" versus the old 5 hours, is an insanely vast improvement. That being said, I'm not going to quibble over a paltry 100mAh, especially considering the amount of life breathed back into my old 800.𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥, I'm very, very pleased with this replacement battery and am quite confident you will be, too.

The kit contains everything you need and the video instructions were a big help. I initially made the mistake of buying a lower cost solution. No tools AND it was the wrong battery! The battery installation was straight forward, but I had problems getting the connector properly seated. After repeated attempts the problem was apparently me.Prior to replacement my computer couldn’t make it through a 45 mile ride. Now I have 85% capacity at the end of the same ride. I wish I had started with this quality product. I’d give 6 stars if I could.

My Garmin 800 has seen a ton of use, and one day it was dead. I searched the internet, and discovered that the 800 won't power on at all if the battery is toast. I decided to take a chance on a replacement battery, and it was a great decision. My 800 is back in action. One thing to note is that this battery is rated for 1000mAh, and the factory battery is 1100mAh. Not a huge deal for me, as this is a very cost-effective way to keep a solid piece of gear in action.Replacing the battery took me about a half hour, because I have fat fingers, but was just as the video describes. The tool that it came with was not the highest quality, but I doubt that most people have a Torx bit around that is this small. Tool was adequate to get the job done.Would have given 5 stars, but I just finished the replacement, and I don't know how long the battery is going to last.

I've used this battery for a few months now. Installation was easy, however the battery performance is disappointing. My original battery would handle a century ride with some power to spare. This battery will just barely make 75 miles before dying. I ride a few centuries each year, so I have to get something else. If this is not typical of this brand, I would like to know; but for now I can't recommend it for longer distance riders.
