This is not a 1 inch drain plug. It is 1 inch OD (Outer Diameter). A 1 inch drain plug is supposed to be 1 inch ID (Inner Diameter).Construction quality seems to be alright. It seals, although it doesn't fit and doesn't come with anything to seal the mounting points so you'll have to buy that yourself.

I don’t have the ability to install and flare a transom drain tube for a traditional boat plug. This plug and some elastomeric marine sealant was my solution

One came with oring felt like a positive seal the other came with a plastic flat washer so thin it doesn’t feel tight when the threads get tight I”ll have to buy a oring for the other one

Didn't feel like a good seal. Would tighten with pliers. When back on trailer would be finger loses....
