This plate retracts down into your cylinder to help eliminate the meat (or juice) from coming back into the cylinder when pressing. Place it in the tank under the steel plunger plate. Easy cleanup. Makes using the cast iron stuffer much more efficient. This is the larger size which is 8 1/4" diameter. (Smaller size for 4 qt also available from Smokehouse Chef)

My Enterprise sausage stuffer has seen a lot of use and we would have a lot of meat come back out around the plate especially when stuffing smaller stix casings.I was skeptical about paying $15 for a thin piece of plastic. But it was $15 well spent! This works great, there was 0 blowback around the plate which saved us a ton of time.

This was a perfect fit and made my stuffer usable again. My buddy and I were going to make one of these, but for the price, you can't really mess around too much. The price on this made the decision to purchase it easy.

It has the perfect fit for my 8 quart Enterprise Sausage stuffer! No more meat leaking out the edges as we only have the small plate and not the large.

Works great! Makes it easier to crank than when we used a towel! Even if it doesnt last very long it will be worth it to keep purchasing it.

This item cuts WAY down on the mess associated with pressing the sausage through the casings. I'm really glad to have found it.
