I am quite familiar with this type of urn used for scattering. I am disappointed though that the cardboard covering on the tube came with its own imperfection, a wrinkle.

since not an everyday product, it would have been useful to have instructions on how to fill it so that the empty spout punch out is accessible. the construction was very good and the choices of decorative outer scenes were good.

The urn was bigger than I thought it would be, but was perfect for my loved one's ashes. We will be scattering them at their favorite location very soon. A great purchase at a very difficult time in our life.

I purchased this container to spread my moms ashes. As people have pointed out there is a small hole in the bottom of the exterior and an area for a hole on the inner container that can be poked after the ashes are in the container. Instead of doing that I placed the inner container opening up and then put the ashes in and placed the top on. I was able to release the ashes by taking the top off instead of using the holes. It was a pretty container and served it’s purpose for spreading my moms ashes during a beautiful celebration.
