The construction is not what you’d expect for doing surgery or something, the workmanship could be better, but for grabbing small things in tight spaces on a budget this is one of my favorite tools. I’ve used it to re-string a hoody, pull lint from deep below the lint trap of my dryer, pull and push wires through tight spots, etc. Fantastic tool. There is a tiny gap between the top and bottom pieces, I wish the halves were held together with a dovetail or something, but it is still fairly sturdy and has not been an issue for me.For those curious because they never seem to list this dimension, the profile of the tool is kind of an oval that is just under 7mm at the widest part and just under 4.5mm wide. So if you need this to fit in a round hole, it needs to be at least about 7mm or about 0.276” in diameter.

I thankfully only bought these for feeding my snakes. The parts are ill fitted and the movement is stiff.

These work very well for cleaning my reef tank. They're just the right length for getting into tight spaces and gripping tiny objects. However, the finger openings are on the small side, so if your fingers are larger, the handles might not be too comfortable for more than a few minutes. Overall, though, I'm very glad I bought them!

I have needed something like this SO many times, and when you need a tool like this there’s pretty much nothing that can replace it save for a magnet on a string or piece of gum on a stick (which are very situational). Unfortunately, I could never think to pick one of these up unless I need it right that second. Well, I needed to meet an order minimum to use my preferred payment method, so I finally pulled the trigger and got one!This thing is phenomenal, I’ve already used it a few times for work (IT — cable routing mostly) and it has been invaluable. I did not expect these to be this affordable, so I wasn’t expecting it to be high quality; luckily I was wrong, this is superb quality. It’s all metal and very sturdy, yet thinner in diameter than a pencil. It’s the ideal tool for plugging small cables into ports you can’t reach!For what it’s worth, there are two cons to it, however the pros vastly outweigh them: it’s an awkward shape (and so hard to store in a work bag) and it has no open / close bias (e.g. a spring to keep it closed when not in use or a cap), so I feel like I might break the little jaw by accident while putting something in my bag. It doesn’t feel fragile, but all of my other tools are just big heavy chunks of metal that break everything they accidentally touch. A little carrying case would be nice. I’m probably going to 3D print a holder for it to keep it safe in my bag. Overall I highly recommend it

Although I *thought* I ordered a slightly shorter version of this tool, this will work well for my needs.I occasionally do set-ups on violins or violas where the soundpost has dislodged and needs to be re-set. While there are specialty tools designed to accomplish that I have had the best success using a pair of clamping scissors-style forceps. The downside is that the forceps are too thick to easily maneuver in the f-holes of the instruments.These alligator forceps can grasp the loose soundpost and maneuver it into place with greater ease than the specialty tool or the scissors-forceps.

My wife is always losing small items in her recliner and this forceps is great for retrieving them. I was able to get $6.47 in change easily out of the chair. Very strong grip. Just make sure you are familiar with how the jaws open and you will be set. Well worth the price.

I use these primarily for snaking wires, and love them. Having a wire just out of reach in a wall cavity when you are working by yourself can be immensely frustrating - it’s still frustrating but these give you a little more reach and grab than I am used to having.if these were double jointed, they would be even more useful. As built, I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is stuck trying to grab things in wall cavities.

I actually use it to pick-up small items in narrow crevices. Also to remove pinecone seeds from areas of My Chevrolet Avalanche . Quality is Great, this is designed for light pressure, otherwise the stems will pull apart and could possibly damage the Alligator Forceps.
