Purchased and installed this new gas valve on my furnace and lit the pilot. Burns fine while holding the lever over but flames out soon as I release it. Just like when you have a bad thermal coupler but thermal coupler is brand new and had it right in the flame and it was glowing when lever was released. I know the couplers not bad but I put a second one on just to make sure. Does the same thing. Thermal coupler's not the problem. The problem is this new gas valve that I paid almost $200 for. It's defective. But at least they say it's returnable so im hoping to get a replacement asap. Gotta remove it and ship it back then wait for replacement to arrive. Probably five or six days at least before I get another one and the whole time I'm without a furnace. Its been cold lately. Down in the thirties at night. Plus I have to do the install all over again, d@mπ !t.Not real happy with this purchase.

I bought this part 2 years ago and it already needs to be replaced??!!! I will not buy from them again.

Part was bad ! Looked new but didn’t work. The one I purchased from the local dealer the next day did. Very unhappy! No stars really.
