Went to use it out of the package, and the end of the cable popped off rendering it useless. Should have known better, bought a snap on one off the truck the following day. Stay far away!

Worked okay for the first two uses. I work on ford 6.8L V10s daily and this was really going to come in handy for he lower octopus hose where it attaches to the block. After that it wouldn’t release the clamp even with the handle all the way open, and next the ratchet failed. Miserable tool.

Doesn’t lock under any kind of pressure from the clamp, so that locking feature is pretty much useless. Otherwise, the tool works.

This is the only hose clamp pliers that will get into those cramped and hard to reach areas. These are high quality and will get the job done.

As a professional automotive technician I find this tool to be a nessesity in my tool box. Without it, there are numurous hose clamps that will be near to, if not, impossible for myself to remove. Forget about any other type of hose clamp pliers, just get you a pair of these bendable pliers, even if not Great Neck, and you won't need or want anything else.

The plier doesn't travel far enough to fully open the hose clamp. When the hose clamp is removed from the hose, the plier doesn't want to release from the clamp. I had to get a screwdriver to pry it apart. As an automotive technician, I would not recommend it.
